Johnson Central/Highlands Predictions
You know you're team is special when most of the talk is really never about beating you. It's stuff like, "We will score on your team", "This could be a good game", "Your QB could be bitten by the tsetse fly and get African sleeping sickness." Johnson Central like most that have come and gone this year will be playing with the mindset of simply not being embarrassed.

Good job Birds. I said Dixie would have to score 50 to make it a game. Highlands is an impressive of a high school football team I've seen in many years. Number 78 for Dixie had a lot of heart.

Dixie/Highlands Predictions
And they still have the record they have. Again last time Dixie played Highlands Wilson averaged 8 yds a pass completion. Why? Because he ran for his life and had no time to throw deep down field. Highlands typically won't give up a big pass play anyway. Dixie's offense will have to score 50 points to make it a game. This isn't going to happen.

Dixie/Highlands Predictions
In the last game against Highlands the Dixie receivers averaged about 8 yards a catch compared to their normal 14. That's simply not going to get it done, especially when your running game is non existent.

Does Highlands...
We hear that every year.

Highlands/Ryle (Part II) Predictions
Thanks for the invite CardinalsFan, but why go across the pond when I can stay in Ft. Thomas and watch the best team in the greater Cincinnati area play right in my own backyard on Friday night.

Highlands/Ryle (Part II) Predictions
I think Birds will be fine and take every game seriously.

The point I was trying to make is that accurate criticisms of teams or programs should not be deemed bickering. Like you I would like to see more analysis. I see posters taking shots at kids on here routinely, and there isn't a lot of hoopla about that. However when one poster calls the other poster on the carpet for it, then all heck breaks loose if it's not sanitized to the point that Mother Teresa could have said it. I don't base my opinion on any program or their fans based upon what a few may say on here. I have really enjoyed this site, but it is certainly not determinative about my opinions of other players or programs. If someone has acquired a distain for Highlands, Trinity or Covington Catholic because of what posters say on this site then I would suggest to take a couple of steps back.. Personally I could care less what a poster says about me on here. I can simply respond back. The player on the other hand doesn’t have the same opportunity and often goes without a voice. It’s ok to criticize a player I guess, but you should be ready to back up your criticism. I went off on a tangent Leatherneck, I guess. No guessing I did.

Would Highlands Rather play in the GCL or in Kentucky?
If Highlands could increase their male population to 700 or 800, which I believe is about half of most the GCL schools then they could be pretty dominate over there as they are here. But numbers aren't everything. To me it's unfathomable that a team the size of Highlands did what it did to St. X. I guess St. X felt more comfortable playing Elder.

Highlands/Dixie Heights Predictions
With all do respect I don't think you really get it. You're throwing Highlands in with everyone else. Your comment," I have also seen teams get so high from winning a huge game that the following week, they can't come down from that high and get into the next game." Did the performance by Highlands the other night demonstrate that this is not just some team? I'm going to go out on a limb and say that Coach Mueller will miraculously get his team focused for the Dixie game.

Saint Xavier, OH/Highlands Predictions
Cloudy and some rain. According to most weather reports there should not be any rain from 6:00pm till about midnight. Bring a towel to wipe your seat off and you should be fine.

Quite frankly this a must win for Cov. Cath. A loss to NC in my opinion would nearly throw them back to square one. Cov. Cath. is better than NC and should win this game.- Saint Xavier, OH/Highlands Predictions
Well now there should be 17 who have you scratching your head.- Saint Xavier, OH/Highlands Predictions
The Bombers will play very hard. But it really doesn't have a lot to do with the Birds. This is a nationally televised game and every college coach in the country can easy access this game. There could be college scholarship won next Friday night. That's the reality of this game.- Highlands 21 Withrow, OH 0
The best post on here. Not that you needed me to tell you that. Reading some of these post one would think Highlands is the worst 4-0 High School team in the country.- Newport Central Catholic 22 Beechwood 18 (Frosh)
Nice job NC!- Now that all 3 levels of Highlands & Ryle have played...
Please quit with all the pewee, freshman and JV comparisons. You'll know you're an elite program when your varsity team is bashed on Bluegrass Preps for only winning games by three or four touchdowns. The key to Highlands’s success over the years hasn't been the great gifted standout division one players, but the many mediocre players that Coach Mueller has turned into not studs necessarily, but very good football players. Leaders don't focus on their great contributors or their lousy contributors. They focus on those in the middle. That's what Dale Mueller had done at Highlands and that's why the program is so successful. Almost every kid coming into that program is told to reach the stars. But if you don't hit the star it aint so bad fallin on a cloud. - Newport Central Catholic/Covington Catholic Predictions
