With Highlands big win over Cincinnati St. X and the constant comparison with Cincinnati teams, would Highlands rather abandon Kentucky and play in the GCL?

 

Is it boring for Highands to play in 5A in Kentucky? Would they get more publicity and more excitement from playing teams like St. X, Moller, and Colerain? Or, would they just be another team?

Would Highlands consider it "exciting" to go from winning state titles to generally failing year after year? What was their record against teams like St. X, Moeller, Colerain, and Elder coming into the year?

 

The X win was huge, but some are taking it waaaaay too far.

I don't think its even possible for that to happen.

 

However, with that being said, I don't think they would be that successful over the longrun like some of the schools are in the GCL. They are better off in Kentucky.

Not a chance. Football ebbs and flows. Highlands is up right now, but there will be lean times in the future. That, and traveling to Elder, St. X or Moeller isn't my idea of a good way to spend a Friday night.

Year in and year out, they'd be LaSalle.

The GCL and or Cincy has not been kind to Highlands in the last 10 years. If anything I rather see Highlands in 6A over in KY.

Lets see Highlands in the GCL. Highlands would pick up more players if they were in the GCL and they would be in the mix year in and year out.They would have to make more room on the sidelines for the birds!

They would get better competition, but they would hate the end results.

One other problem . The GCL is a private Catholic High School League in Cincinnati . Last time I checked Highlands was still an independent public school . Newport Catholic was a member of the GCL years ago and I do mean years ago when I was in school there and I graduated in '65 :thumb:

Why!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Come on.......What a joke!!!! Now that everyone knows how I feel about this thread I will answer they would be just another team. I will be the first one to say that Highlands wouldn't be able to compete week in and week out in the GCL.

Year in and year out, they'd be LaSalle.
