  1. I'd like to see the young guys get an opportunity to get indoctrinated into the HS program, just not at the expense of baseball.
  2. I'm against spring football for selfish reasons. I really like AAU basketball and baseball. I'm not in favor of forcing a kid out of the big 3 sports into a single, year round, sport.
  3. The most painful loss is always your last loss. No chance to redeem yourself the following week.
  4. I consider Conner to be a good job, clearly in the top half of the region.
  5. Wow. That didn't take long. Really shocked. She had some HUGE shoes to fill at BC.
  6. I'm glad someone likes him. I have a differing point of view from many years back. Hope the hire works out well for BB.
  7. Shannon was a smooth shooting lefty as I recall. Played at UL?
  8. Congratulations to everyone named to the team and those that may be deserving that were missed.
  9. In a year or two the parents/players that caused the ruckus will be long gone and everyone who is a fan of Scott basketball will wish they still had Brad Carr as the coach. Whomever gets that job will have big shoes to fill and a group of parents that will second guess every move.
  10. Old Pioneers look good in Colonel Maroon! Congrats to Colton and his family on the offer. Keep working!
  11. Regionals for tennis starts this week I believe.
  12. The biggest cupcake on that schedule is Boone. Can't avoid playing them though.
  13. I guess you guys are glad that we dropped New Cath and Beechwood. Those two programs with all of those state titles really fit into your 'cup cake' rule. (more sarcasm...for those of you not too bright).
  14. I'd be on board with Reinhardt at Grant County. He seems like a great fit.
  15. Congratulations! Morgantown is an interesting place. Should be fun.
  16. Glad to hear they are replacing the turf. It was getting pretty worn.
  17. Jeff Marksberry has had the good fortune of keeping most of his staff intact during his tenure at SK. He's also been blessed with strong community support during most of the last decade.
  18. I haven't heard names for the committee.
  19. Each school has a different challenge. Not every school can be in a perfect community like yours.
  20. Well said.....agree completely.
  21. IMO, he was the perfect fit for that school. Some of the best players in the recent history of that school needed to be challenged, athletically, academically and socially. Most accepted those challenges and grew from the experience. Some others whined and complained instead of putting in the work it takes to get better and became vindictive. I have no compassion for those folks.
  22. Having the whiny parent on the committee is a joke. Brad was the perfect guy for Scott and whomever you hire is a downgrade over that guy.
  23. Congrats! Do great things at Hanover!
  24. BTW, I don't think the 8th region officials are better or worse than the 10th or 9th (the regions I watch). I do think they allow the game to be more physical in the paint than they do in the 9th as a whole. Like anything else, some 10th region teams do great work but some of the worst I've seen in years work in the 10th.
