My opinion only, the community expects this program to win the district annually and compete for a regional title. We're the biggest school in the district and one of the bigger in the region. There are no 'unfair' expectations of being the best team in the state or hanging a banner. There are teams we should beat that we just haven't lately. That's it. Beat who you should beat and compete like crazy against teams better than you and hope to pull an upset. That being said, basketball is hard. A turned ankle could be the difference in winning a region or going home early in a district game.

Thanks for the update 15th! Sounds like a good one. How did the regular season games between Magoffin and JC turn out?

I'd like to see Williamstown in the regional tournament more than Grant County.

Fair statement, IMO. Boys basketball hasn't lived up to the expectations of the community over the past years.

Depends on what your goal is. However, usually, your goals are matched to your athleticism. In our program, we teach team and fundamentals. I don't have any NBA kids in my program. I have some kids that can play college sports, most likely not basketball though. Every program is different and has different goals.

Don't think you'll find too many people that don't like Steiner as a person (other than the Duke thing). You'll find a mixed bag about his coaching/style and people skills. He has the disadvantage of being there a long time with some skilled guys on his staff (Jeff Davis, etc.) and a ton of 'good enough' talent that just didn't get the job done for one reason or another.

Would love to see Paul George going to the Pelicans. Pacers need size and the Pels have an abundance.

We teach fundamentals. However, not sure that it's my kids that are (or ever will) ruining the NBA.

Injuries have hurt them but you'd think Blackmon and Bryant would be enough on most nights to get wins.

The Hoosiers lost to a bad (really bad) Iowa team after leading for a large portion of the game. Guys look disinterested. The two best IU players were competing for the same spot on the floor and that's never good when one is a PF.

It's clear that FB has the focus at SK in boys sports. Don't believe me? Check out the attendance. Some of the worst attended home SK games in my 20 years in Indy. Where are all of the students at these games? Home studying for the ACT I guess.

Kelch is the most unimpressive 6'8" I've seen. Some of it is his fault, some due to lack of touches and horrid post entry passing.

Saban has been around long enough that he has connections everywhere. In the end, no matter who the OC is, they will run plays that the HC wants run, just like everywhere else. Would Eddie Gran be interested in that job?

Whats BP's motivation for agreeing to the trade, one that he's declined multiple times? Playing time? To prove that he can still play? Hate it when teams pay players to play for another team.
