  1. I like your point about speed. Seems like that has been a focus since the end of last season.
  2. So do I. I really, really hope they add Osweiler.
  3. Elway was a genius and everyone thought they were taking advantage of the rookie GM with Brock
  4. Hopefully Conner regrets not moving this game to the turf at SK after they ruin that field and their uniforms tonight.
  5. Contrary to popular belief on this site, EKU is going to have to recruit FL and GA hard like they used to if they want to get back to winning titles. It's nice that they are showing interest in KY kids but you can't win FCS titles without high D1 transfers and speed.
  6. Let me nominate this as 'BGP Understatement of the Year'. :thumb:
  7. Hate to hear that, if true. Seemed like a good fit.
  8. I see McCarron on the move. From #2 to #3 on the depth chart.
  9. With you on this one. Doesn't make much sense unless Tobin is sure he can get an upgrade at the waiver wire. Besides, when you trade with the Pats, you automatically assume you got hosed.
  10. Shocked he didn't include us so the other teams can say they beat UK for a recruit.
  11. I think this is the best option available for him. Too bad he has to survive 6 months of Stansbury.
  12. I'm sure there are a few other places these two dudes aren't welcome at.
  13. Let me guess....someone from Louisville?
  14. Transfers between Holmes, Holy Cross and Newport get a big yawn from me. I just assume they will happen, like the sun rises in the morning and sets in the evening.
  15. Yes, Trinity has advantages other public schools don't have. No the cupboard isn't bare but it's clearly not as stacked as it has been.
  16. Very cool. Glad my kids have all had the chance to get to know Coach Shields.
  17. Exactly. Building a program from nothing takes time and several steps. You have to get some wins to create enthusiasm and improve the roster. As time goes along you begin to challenge yourself by playing better competition. If the plan goes smoothly, you end up playing tougher competition (regardless of class) that will get you enough wins to keep the roster and bleachers full with a good product on the field while not risking your employment as coach. To reach the pinnacle, you have to have the talent and an open/fair path to it. If that path isn't fair, you plateau at your level and become a consistent threat to the title without ever (maybe) winning it while still hoping it's possible.
  18. Never heard of him. Says all you need to know. No news here.
  19. Thanks for the info on Redneck Hipster Hot Sauce. I was beginning to think you guys made that up.
  20. I know we're off topic, but maybe you guys could stop by and explain to the coaching staff and AD what we're doing wrong. You seem to be experts.
