Since when did Scott County become elite? You had better hope your new schools are 3A or you become another also ran in this state. OK, you have the advantage of being the only school in your (large) county. Congrats. If anything, you have an advantage over all of the other 6A schools in the state. Why aren't you dominating?
Ahhh. The same old tired schedule complaint. To say we don't play anyone is an insult to the teams on our schedule, who have 5 times more state titles than Scott County does in football.
Historically, I'd agree but I believe the gap is narrowing. Once the new school is built in SC, SK wears the crown of the best 6A team outside of Jefferson County. That scenario and a gold VISA card will get you a latte at Starbucks, and a third playoff game loss to X or T.
Sat through a spring of watching a local college work on a tempo offense where the ball was supposed to sprint back to the official for ready to play and it happened far too infrequently for the coach. When someone didn't comply, the whole team would bear crawl down and back.
The real question is, would he have been eligible if he's enrolled at Baylor, SMU, Miami, etc. The kid has been enrolled in 3 schools in the past two years, one of which is a basketball factory.
Not sure where to draw the line this year. Not seen enough of Conner or Campbell to trust them. New Cath always takes a beating early and ends up in the championship game.
And in the same breath, might be good for CAL to have played us instead of some of the other teams on their schedule. Most will only see a 6A playing 'down', not understanding that a great 1A/2A school can play.
6A is just silly to only have Scott Co, SK and Ryle be the only schools outside of the metro that make this poll. The rest of the class has got to get better. Tired of looking at the same schools on the top of this poll week after week.
