Had a bad experience at church years ago. Guy with a carload of kids stops just before we go in, says his wife left him and he was going north looking for work and asked for gas money. Everyone contributed what they had, prayed with him and went inside for services. Afterward, came out to find all of the cars had been robbed. Purses, wallets, change, radios, batteries, spare tires, etc. I may not have been the only one mad but I was the only one that showed it. The consensus was that he must have needed those items more than we did. That guy ruined donating for me. I give to several select charities, usually around Christmas, only.

If the Redskins can be the Redskins, seems like BC could be the Rebels. Not sure how any of this makes sense.

What are the terms he agreed to with the Dolphins? Two weeks in. Was that a 'veteran' deal to miss some camp or do they have a need? Always curious to see if players got more or less after the Bengals let them go. Pretty good indication on how the front office is doing.

Lots of generational pride in this program. It has to have been hard to see the decline. Could very well be a make or break season for this coaching staff.

The varsity game between Woodland and Turkeyfoot was close. Those two teams looking pretty good. The kids from Woodland like to talk a lot from what I could hear. TMS and SVA have a lot of catching up to do if they want to compete with the other two.

And all of BGP will complain about us 'playing down'............

Beginning to wonder if the 'youth movement' in NASCAR is related to cost. Caught part of the race Sunday and Indy was empty. If you're an owner, why pay big $ to Kenseth and those guys when you can put a kid like Jones in a car and be nearly as competitive for a quarter of the salary? I think the ship has sailed on NASCAR. As for Bowman, hope he does well. At least we won't have to watch the first third of a race anymore, waiting for the 88 to hit the wall, before we go cut the grass.
