A tough one to pick.

Have to like Scott County, not one to duck a fight

The Cardinals (10-2) will host Ryle (12-0) at 7:30 p.m. next Friday in the state quarterfinals. It is SC's sixth trip to the third round in the past seven seasons.

They both have played 5 of the same teams.

Obviously I am bias for all NKY team so I take Ryle by 3.

Unless the weather is bad. I expect this to be a high scoring game, with whoever has the ball last winning.

This could be one hell of a game. Good luck to both, hoping Ryle gets it done though.

 

4th round match ups that appeal to me in order:

 

Ryle vs SK, NKY supremacy rematch.

 

SK vs Scott Co, chance at state for SK.

 

Ryle vs Lafayette, watching two of the best QB's in the state head to head.

 

Hoping 2 NKY teams are playing in that 4th round.

I'd expect SC to run the ball and keep the Ryle offense on the sideline. Should be a great game.

Home team wins

November playoff football always brings weather factor. Last night's winds made me think of this particular matchup. SC does not need the passing threat to win. Ryle, IMO, must have the air game threat to open those holes for Chisolm. Dry, calm night SC in a toss-up 45-44. Windy or rainy night, SC 30-14.

It will be a great game. Watching two former Union Raider QBs go at it. Both Davis and Morgan are great friends and knowing that both teams are dynamic at what they do will make for a fun night.
