Yes, this is awful news as is any time a young person loses his or her life too soon. A terrible thing for family and friends. None of us know the number of our days. Use them well as I suspect this young man did.

It takes more than 2 weeks to put this together. I'm not familiar with all rules, but KSHAA needs 6 weeks notice of schedule. Other things in the way too. Who knows .Most things take planning.

Does anyone know if Alabama Larry's son made the team as a kicker?

I would absolutly love to see him in the Oregon offense. I do think the family has the experience to guide him to stay closer to home. He won't have to go away to be noticed and there are disadvantages to beng so far away.

My thoughts on the game. This year Trinity seems to come out and mosey thru the first half, not clicking on offence, not protecting, on D bending a lot and giving up some big plays. Then second half they wake up and build momentum and show flashes of brillance. I thought X came out looking good running the ball with some passing, but why pass repeatedly toward Ryan White? The other side is much more vulnerable. They came out second half so predictable in what they were going to do. Game over.

That was horrible. Can't someone control the decibels ?

Cathedral knows their way around LOS. State championships are there. I can't figure them out this year. Inexperienced O line, some injuries, (Curteton), good receivers. The game they lost to Chatard was a Friday start, finish on Saturday and they forgot to get up. They do play a tough schedule and are well coached.

Does anyone really take these polls seriously? There are lots of top tier teams out there. How to know who would beat up on who any given friday night. I like that Trinity is getting recognition. I know how hard the program works. Kentucky teams who wouldn't schedule them have created the exposure as Trinity had to seek quality opponents. Are they as good or better than last year? I don't think so. They have not jelled as well this year. Last year, I had never seen a better team. Are there teams who don't get the recognition? Sure. In Indiana, Carmel, Ben Davis, and Warren Central play in the same conference and beat up on each other every year. They don't seek out of state teams because they have competition. Lose a game and you are out of the national picture. Could they beat Trinity? Each would give Trinity a heck of a game and probably win half of them. They are all bigger than Trinity , by the way. I am happy for the exposure, but take it with a grain of salt. GO ROCKS!!!

Please, some updates and evaluation after the scrimmage. I'm traveling this weekend so will get info from BGP.

Has the Indiana Kentucky game become a non-event in Kentucky? It seems to be not well organized, nor a privelege to play in. Indiana's dominance could be the problem, but , believe me, it is still a big deal in Indiana. The Jr, sr. games are well attended for the tune ups. Is there any tv coverage on Fri or Sat?

I'm with RM. The best high school team i've ever seen and that is ok with me. We don' t need them flying all over to prove something when next it is TX or FL or CA saying we are better.

BGP, Very well thoughtout about next year. There will be some line players sorely missed. The schedule won't get easier.

Bama could use him this year. I have grandaughter who wants to go to Bama, too. She also is a Freshman soccer player and can kick some field goals.

PLEASE READ POST 81. TRINITY DID NOT THROW A PASS IN THE SECOND HALF.

I once drove almost 150 miles to go to an 8th grade wrestling meet, then a freshman girls basketball game then back home. No way would I have missed a game my kids were involved with. Even went to our high school games for 35 years after we graduated. Lived in the same town and kids went to same school. Maybe no community to call your own is a problem. My opinion is that private schools advantage is that they are a community.

What's Moeller doing with playing their starters? Are they still in?

Cathedral, like Highlands, schedules the big schools. Keeps them strong. They won't beat T this year. May not even be competative, but they will always have a good program. I think some posters just like to complain.

I've watched Cathedral twice and am familiar with the teams they played. A tough schedule and a good team, but I feel if they score on T it will be in Mop-up.

Tech is a coed inner city school that is probably the best of the inner city, but can't compete with the township schools like Warren Central, Ben Davis, Pike or Lawrence (Central & North). They have tried to bring their programs back to what they were years ago. Slooowwww process. Most schools in Indiana belong to 8 or 10 team conferences and have little room to play outside of conference until tourney time.
