Just play your schedule and see how things turn out. That's all you can do.

They have a big time recruit in Quick, they have the schedule, they have the history, they need big state top teams to lose, and Trinity needs to win out. If all those fall in place and absolutly they have a shot. If is the big question though. Injuries need to be avoided and their schedule needs to play well for that to happen.

If Trinity doesn't lose a game, there is definitely a possibility.

Katy in Houston, TX would love to play Trinity... but you know what... Beatty would love to play Katy! This is a fun-fantasy thread for now... lets see what the season brings. But it is at least fun to even be able to talk about such.

As much as I would love to see it, I just don't see them winning out over the Ohio teams. Too many on the road. Plus, there is always St. X. That game defies logic.

Even though it was only a scrimmage the same could be said about Highlands, if they dominate from here on out it just adds to T's resume.

"If everything falls right"...what does that mean, exactly? When Trinity runs the table and finishes the season undefeated, will they have enough to win a MNC on their own merits...absolutely not. Their schedule isn't tough enough and they don't come from a power state, plain and simple.

 

Now, if Trinity does all that and teams like DBP, Prattville, DLS, STA, ST. X (OH) all lose, then they might have a shot. But on their own merits with no help = no way in hades.

And yes that means they'll continue to rise higher than Ohio teams that wish they were as good as Trinity this year.

I like Alabama or Virginia Tech. Our D is gonna be real strong, need solid QB play.

The scary part is, is that they will be better next year!

I beg to differ.

 

"If Everything falls right"...that was the key phrase. If every team in the country loses a game and Trinity is the only one to go undefeated then yes, they would be MNC. Anyone could guess that.

 

However, I think what theguru was really getting at was if Trinity goes undefeated and absolutely plows through their opponents, is there a chance they win a MNC REGARDLESS of what everyone else in the country does? That's the only question that matters and I say, even if they do that, it won't be enough.

 

HOWEVER, if they do that, it will put them in a position in 2012 where they will start the year in the top 5 nationally and depending on what Trinity's schedule looks like, could very well be in line for a national title. It's a two year process to a MNC and it begins next week.
