It may be a joke but when I was working in Batesville last year and South Panola won it in almost every major publication,the people sure didn't seem to care. That said though I'd like to see trinity or x play s. Panola.

I think Trinity would handle South Panola fairly easily this year. IMO.

CF is 100% correct. If the top 2 or 3 teams run the table T is not going to be national champs. Fairly or unfairly.

Thank you Clyde. That's all I was trying to say. Trinity's chance at a MNC doesn't SOLELY reside in their hands whereas for teams like Don Bosco or Prattville, maybe it does.

 

If Trinity wants that MNC with this class, they can get there in 2012. Run the table this year. Look good doing it and next year...Katie bar the door!

I would sure like to see it. I doubt they would, Mississippi high school ball is on a much different level than what Kentucky and Ohio plays. I don't doubt Trinity could play with them, but they would have a hard time beating them. Rivals also has South Panola rated ahead of Trinity in the preseason.

Ya I worded that in a confusing way, I do think Trinity could play with them, just beating them would take a lot.

In most polls they are. Only the ones with a Northeast bias pick Bosco.

I like Alabama or Virginia Tech. Our D is gonna be real strong, need solid QB play.

I tend to agree. The ranking is merely something to talk about. I don't see how anyone can give the polls any real credence.

I say T and DB get together on Christmas weekend and decide this on the field.

For these types of things, there's nothing that a team can do but go out and achieve all that they possibly can. The rest is in the minds and eyes of the people making the decisions. The Rocks absolutely did everything they could possibly do, and should be extraordinarly proud of their accomplishments, despite what any pollsters decide of their efforts. All the national rankings are subject to subjectivity. Relish the accomplishments, and get back to work in a few weeks to begin making the case again in 2012. GO ROCKS!

I'm with RM. The best high school team i've ever seen and that is ok with me. We don' t need them flying all over to prove something when next it is TX or FL or CA saying we are better.
