Mythical Championships are just that. Mythical. I can't stand these polls. Teams need to play to decide who is superior, not be voted on. Garbage.

 

Should they have a 10,000 game playoff? I like them, they are entertaining. It's like the BCS, before the BCS the top 2 teams didn't even play. IMO the BCS is a TON better than it was without a championship game.

 

The polls are probably not 100% accurate, but it would be tough to argue that Trinity should not be one of the top teams in the country.

I actually meant to put before the BCS. My point doesn't make sense if it wasnt before the BCS.

 

Before the BCS voters decided who was champion and they didnt have a championship game. Now they have the BCS (which is better than it was before), where at least the top 2 ranked teams play.

 

I compare that to High School football where before when there was a handful of national polls, the accuracy of the mythical national champion was not accurate. I feel that lately with espn, rivals, calpreps and other rankings have become much more accurate. They have encouraged top teams to travel out of state to play eachother. Teams that just play in-state games don't deserve to be national champions (unless they play in a big-time football state FL, OH, TX, etc.).

 

BCS is an improvement from before, is compared to less accurate polls were not as good as the emphasis they have on them now.

Mine too for this year. Next year will depend on restocking their O-line. They sure have the skill positions set. Not sure about what they have coming back on D.

They graduate this year, and unless our next group is as good as this one was I think Trinity may end up backsliding a little.

Several teams still have games to play. I can't see how anyone can be crowned (credibly) until the season is complete for all teams in at least the top 5.
