Several teams still have games to play. I can't see how anyone can be crowned (credibly) until the season is complete for all teams in at least the top 5.

Actually most everyone had it down to a two horse race, so if DB did more in their final game so be it. I want to see the final Rivals poll. Of course ABC only goes with the ESPN poll (they are one company), which doesn't even send reps to the games (like Rivals and MaxPreps do)

Their final rankings come out December 19th. Like most. I do think, that DBP will keep their #1 spot in said poll.

I wish somehow the top 4 teams in the nation could play one another. I know Trinity is dominate here in Ky and won a few games in OH. I'm not sure that would be the case if they were playing a top team in FL, TX or Ga. Speed there is alot different than here..IMO

A lot of kids are playing basketball by now.

Does the fact that we played 14 games and remain undefeated and Don Bosco Prep only played 11 count?

No knock on Trinity, but I can't see how any team is ranked #1 in the nation from Kentucky. With football being as weak as it is here...JMO

A special team is a special team, no matter where it's from. They beat TN, IN and OH football powers.

Trinity is set up to succeed and they do.

They did manage do dominate out of state opponents as well this season. The only teams in state the Rocks played were their district and the playoffs. This season they faced:

 

Brentwood Academy

Montgomery Bell Academy

Elder

Cincinnati Saint Xavier

Cincinnati Moeller

Indianapolis Cathedral

 

With convincing wins in each case. Their closest win of the season was a 17-7 win at Cincinnati St. X which was 17-0 until late in the 4th quarter. X also managed to make it to the semi-finals in Ohio which is no easy task. Cathedral took the 4A title in Indiana this season. According to one of the polls I looked at they had Trinity's SOS at 5th in the nation. I am not saying it isn't possible that there isn't a team better than the Rocks out there, but they way they defeated their opponents (both in and out of state) this season they deserve to be in the discussion.

Obviously you haven't seen THIS Trinity team play. They spanked teams (top notch teams) from 4 different states , without breaking a sweat !

Nationally, EVERYONE, disagrees with you. I have watched and blogged, etc....about prep hs all over this country. I tend to reserve myself when trying to compare Trinity to the usual suspects. Well, this year, we are in that category. Will we stay? I hope.
