Rebels take on the Titans from Indianapolis. Who wins?

Havn't got a clue as to what this Hoosier team will be bringing to Titletown this Friday. I know Boyle will and has been working hard to fix the ship, and I believe come playoff time, things will be corrected.

I looked this team up a while back . All I can remember is they are a 5A team , with about 59 players on the roster. Thet are ranked #50 in the state and have Indy Cathedral later on in their schedule. If they are real good they are flying under the radar .

John Hardin last Friday. 28-0. First time we have been shut out since Highlands shut us out 21-0 in 2004. 95 games.

I have a cousin that went to "Tech" back in the 80's, I guess this is the same school. Back in the day he said it was a rough place to go to school.

An article in the Danville paper a couple weeks ago said Arsenal Tech was looking to play more larger schools. Apparently the schools in Indianapolis have gotten smaller and apparently weaker in football. They had difficulty finding games, which is why they ended up playing Boyle County. So while they likely aren't great, they must be decent. Should be an interesting game - we will see.

I like your chances in this one.This school keeps a lot of the sports confidential. Here is what I did find.

It's a public school with the enrollment of around 2000, it didn't say co-ed or not. Tech has 4 of the top 100 football players in the state. Hughes and Grahm are the running backs ,Hopkins OL and Evans QB . Sounds to me that these running backs are the real deal. Hughes had a great showing in the preseason scrimmage against the #1 ranked team in the state Warren Central , WC has 7 D1 , D lineman ,that played most of the scrimmage. Boyle will need to wrap these RB's up or it's going to be a long night. That's all I got ! Enjoy !

 

The school itself sounds pretty cool. It's an old civil war arsenal with the original buildings in place and restored . It's the oldest high school in Indy.

Also, I found some general football pictures after typing in "Indianapolis Arsenal Tech Football", and from what other posters have said about their MaxPreps report, to go along with some of the action shots of players, I'd say the Rebels are going to be getting another dose of athleticism out the wazoo.

 

Get a win Rebs! It's always good for our state anytime one of our KY squads can take it to some out of state opponents, especially if they have anything to do with "Hoosiers" or "Volunteers"!

Tech is a coed inner city school that is probably the best of the inner city, but can't compete with the township schools like Warren Central, Ben Davis, Pike or Lawrence (Central & North). They have tried to bring their programs back to what they were years ago. Slooowwww process. Most schools in Indiana belong to 8 or 10 team conferences and have little room to play outside of conference until tourney time.
