Trinity overcomes a 7-6 deficit to beat X before 30,400 at Papa Johns. James Quick made an electrifying run after a reception to spark the Shamrocks. Teddy Kazunas made a beautiful catch for a TD and Jabari Jordan stole the ball from an X running back and scored. T's defense gave up very few plays longer than 10 yards. The all-time series is now tied at 36 wins apiece.

X has been outscored something like 200-27 in the last 5 meetings. You think Mike regrets that tip of the cap in Bowling Green?

Probably. It was quite bush.

This one could have been worse if T receivers could hold on to the ball!! I counted three drops and two balls that would have been touchdowns all by one receiver.

Otherwise, I thought X's defense was solid all night and kept T in check as long as they could.

Also, T's defense did a good job of keeping Walker from making the big play.

Where oh where to begin.....

That play where Jabari Jordan just pulled the ball out of Austin Davis' hands and ran it into the end zone was bizarre.

James Quick seems to be good for one long, winding touchdown run at a critical moment in any big game. Tonight was no exception. What can be said about that guy that hasn't already been said 100 times?

This is the big one for me. I graduated just a decade ago and that all-time series was slanted pretty significantly in X's favor.

Dang, slow thread!

Could have been a lot worse IMO. Was sitting with a bunch of X friends and they were going nuts because it was only 13-7 at half.

I was happy to see the Rocks look like I have wanted them to look all season. It was nice to be able to relax during a game this season for once.

I am seriously happy about that. The split games this past decade drove me nuts, it was just station keeping. The last three years have been quite satisfying.

Where oh where is AT ??????????

He is awfully quiet. Where is / was that potent O he was touting.......................

Maybe he be sitting down right now to a big plate of CROW......................

CONGRATS ROCKS.......... way to keep it going...........

I really don't think Trinity played all that well. They left a lot of points out there. But X's offense was... well,... it was X's offense. This has the makings for a very ugly game in November.

Down 20 and running up the middle... and please don't say the run was working (40 carries - 122 yards).

A classic example of "we have no idea what to do when a team keeps our horses pinned in the barn."

LSU Rock would be having a field day this am with all the X backers who have mysteriously disappeared.

Don't blame 'em - I'd run off and hide too.

I posted this in the game thread but it merits repeating:

Same ugly yellow unis

Same anemic offense

As far as someone's grandiose descriptions of a certain running back. He wasn't even the best back on his team last night much less the best back on the field.
