^ at almost every level of ball I played, I was taught to go lower on guys that are bigger than me.....if the guy's legs get stuck in the turf due to poor timing, it's a tragedy of the game, but not an individual's fault.

 

Believe me, with Glaser's track record, if he thought it to be wrong, it certainly would have come up.

For a questionable play there was very little reaction from the fans and the X bench when it happened, in fact I recall none. Glaser is a huge "official worker" and I don't recall him "working" the official over this hit. And as someone else pointed out had he felt it was a "questionable" hit he would have said something about it in his post game comments. I had an opportunity to speak with an X coach Saturday night and asked him about Walker. He is well aware of my loyalties and had he felt it was dirty he would have said so. I really believe you're barking up the wrong tree.

I agree with Jim Seymour. I saw the play very clearly (it was more to Trinity's side of the field) and no way was it dirty--just hard. It might have helped if X had had a blocker there in the flat to help Charles. Charles seems to be a very good and talented kid.

Thank you for a straight answer. I am sorry he was hurt. He was impressive running the ball. For X to have any chance in a rematch he needs to be back 100%. Can he throw the ball? If so, I'd pitch to him and let him suck in the defense then toss it. I'll be glad to draw it up as a part of my annual school donation. :thumb:

I wasn't going to bring this up, since i know u r already eating crow at the moment.

 

in an earlier post you said it was all about match up & rankings meant nothing in regards to the rankings I posted. Well it looks like the ranking are right on the money. No disrepect to X but it is clear that they would struggle against any of the teams T's has faced. X would be lucky to come away with 1 win vs any of those teams. Inpite of what you may think about Elder's ranking they more than proved to be worthy of their 149 ranking as they went toe to toe with Cincy X in friday nights game. ELder went for 2 late in the 4th with about a min left, while trailing 28-26.

 

BTW-Dawkins rushed for 128 yards on 20 carries with 2 td's. Remember you insisted that Dawkins only had suscess in 2011 because of A great oline. T's 2012 oline this year is not so great, very average at best & Dawkins has still managed to put up the same stats as he had at this point last year. Doing it all while fighting threw a high ankle sprain.

2012 stats 6 games

Again not a knock on Walker But Dawkins was Clearly the best RB in friday night's game. I do realize Walker got banged up abit but it wasn't like he was ripping off big runs before he got hurt. Walker had some suscess against T's D but it was minimal. So it is safe to say Walker isn't quite on Dawkins Level. I wish Walker a speedy recovery & wish him the best of luck the rest of the season.

I give credit where its due. Dawkins proved me wrong. But the rankings mean nothing at the time X went toe to toe with Moeller they were #10 and X 349.

Wow, just read something on one of the national rankings saying Trinity has outscored X 200-26 in five games.
