Trinity is better than I thought, X is a good football team but time for a schematic change if we want to compete. I will still wear my X gear proud.

I like the GOLD uniforms; glad they broke them out for 2 straight games. It's tough when you get a lead and the Quick makes that TD catch and run right after going into halftime. Just like every lose or setback, you look at what went well and what areas need some attention and get back to work.

 

Good luck to the Tigers the rest of the regular season; take care of business so the TIE can broken in November!

Kicking wasn't up the prior years' standards but is tolerable. Punting on the other hand was troubling. I was to far away to tell but was it poor form which caused the bad punts?

 

Until this is corrected, if the fourth down conversion is anywhere close, just go for it.

 

 

I had noticed that Beatty has gone for it on 4th down more than usual this year, probably has something to do with it.

This one could have been worse if T receivers could hold on to the ball!! I counted three drops and two balls that would have been touchdowns all by one receiver.

 

Otherwise, I thought X's defense was solid all night and kept T in check as long as they could.

 

Also, T's defense did a good job of keeping Walker from making the big play.

 

 

The receivers have struggled with that all season. Many of the nail biters the Rocks have been in this season have been that way in part because of drives killed by dropped passes.

I still love watching the our boys play D this season. The first few games were headache inducing, but since then the D-line has just been a dominant force. Hatcher and Jordan are beasts. With the secondary looking better I am feeling much more comfortable about the rest of the season.

Starting DT Kaufman was out last night with an injury.

Did the halftime music hurt anyone elses ears???

Three thoughts:

1. T needs to put some pads on their soccer goalie and let him punt.

2. Halftime music was deafening and beyond obnoxious.

3. Does the X announcer really not know Dawkins' first name? Called him "Darryl" (as in the NBA's Chocolate Thunder) a number of times. Can anyone imagine T's announcer calling Charles Walker "Charlton Walker" for a quarter before getting it right?

Yeah the sound's not normally that bad. Does something different happen when UofL's not playing? Only half the system gets turned on or something? The sound was horrible all night.

I thought X came out looking good running the ball with some passing, but why pass repeatedly toward Ryan White? The other side is much more vulnerable. They came out second half so predictable in what they were going to do. Game over.

1 - the worst I have seen our kicking game in years

2 - I don't stay in my seats for halftime...never liked the programming.

3 - I really thought the X announcer did a dis-service as he was completely different for X plays then he was for our plays. Our guy, is completely neutral in being the announcer.

Two comments:

1. I thinkT's coaches are very good at making productive half-time adjustments.

In most of the recent T-X games the score was close at half, then T pulled away in the second half. I can't help but think this is due largely to these adjustments.

 

2. With DB Trey Wright now back off injury, the secondary has improved significantly. It is now tougher to pass in the areas not patrolled by Ryan White.
