  1. That is becoming a more popular and easy to follow way to control portions. It was popularized by Precision Nutrition Protein: 1 serving = Open Palm Carbs: 1 serving = Cupped Palm Veggies: 1 serving = Fistful Fats: 1 serving = Thumb sized You manipulate the number of servings based on Male/Female and desired goals. That is a solid, simple (not complicated - the work will be challenging) progression for training. If you stick with that you will absolutely see results. I hope you stick with it and keep everyone updated with your progress.
  2. There is a lot of scientifically based evidence that counters much of what is layed out in "Gamechangers". This guy is an advocate for eating a well-rounded diet, with whole food coming from all sources. It is not hard to find evidence to support your viewpoint or biases. No matter the subject.
  3. This is the part that I think a lot of people don't realize happens, particularly the feeling better part. There is quite a bit of research on the cognitive benefits of eating a "healthy", "clean" (or whatever you want to call it) diet. You think more clearly, have improved memory, recall ability, etc. Many common physical ailments up and disappear when you center your diet around whole foods (plant based or not). Full disclosure, I'm primarily meat based with my foods.
  4. Sugars, refined carbs, seed oils. If people limited these things they'd see a drastic improvement in blood markers and body composition. Most people don't, however.
  5. And those animals also eat an amount unachievable by humans. Gorillas eat upwards of 40lbs of plants each day.
  6. Everyday. Everywhere I go. I carry a Benchmade.
  7. I'll be in initially. I'm not super excited about it. Spin-offs tend to fall short of the originals IMO.
  8. Zinc Magnesium Vitamin D Tumeric Creatine Fish Oil Multi Vitamin
  9. A lot of talk in the update thread about penalties. Does anyone have a penalty count for both teams?
  10. Finished it. The last episode was a little underwhelming for me. I didn’t see the twist coming, but once i realized it you could easily remember the signs from earlier in the series.
  11. One more episode to go. One thing I wish they would have done when dubbing in English is to use English names. That would have made a few of the events in the show easier to follow and connect. I'm enjoying it. Excited for the last one tonight.
  12. For me I could still feel it 30 or so min. later.
  13. I did it last year. I'm a big pepperhead. It was definitely hot hot hot. I did break into a sweat on my forehead. The heat stayed with me for quite a while afterwards.
  14. I think more people eat Well Done than the poll reflects based on personal experience. They just aren’t saying so out of fear of being shamed. I’m a Med Rare guy myself.
  15. Bloodsport (just the original, not 2) Kickboxer (the original, none of the terrible sequels) Shawshank Redemption Goodfellas Tombstone
  16. New Wave Buritto x2 Bearnos The Public House Next on the list - Taco Choza, Rivercity Drafthouse (open tomorrow for first time) and Havana Rumba soon when their online ordering is up and running.
  17. Great series. Wife and I loved it along with the other one he has on Netflix...the name of that one escapes me at the moment.
  18. Edward Snowden Elon Musk Bernie Sanders Tulsi Gabbard Jocko Willink Dakota Meyer Dave Goggins Neil Degrasse Tyson Mike Tyson Tim Ferris Lance Armstrong Jordan Peterson Rhonda Patrick Anthony Bourdain Those are just the ones that come to mind. Do a google search on his best guests. I may have already named them. He has a lot of people that I've never heard of and they have been facinating.
  19. I'm cueing this up as soon as I'm back in my car. Had no idea so much had happened and the connections that they all seem to share
