Normally each year I watch some of this but it wasn't always easy to find on TV and it is not cohesive to me.  F1 and NASCAR are very good about standings and importance of winning races, INDYCAR is like we have another race, here you go.  Either way, the good news is INDYCAR is being televised on FOX this year so it should be easier to follow.  Here is a graphic from The INDYCAR SERIES on Facebook and the link to the INDYCAR site.

I LOVE the Indianapolis 500.  Been the past 8-12 years (missing a few in this section) and going to Qualifying before this.  Great times!

While I follow that race, as @theguru said the IndyCar Series is more tough to follow.  There are some good races there like Long Beach, St Pete, Toronto and Milwaukee.  I have been to Nashville for this race in the past, but it always interfered with other things, but this year it's way down to August 31.  May try to go.

And I would LOVE for KY's Track to get back on board here.  They used to run Indy Car races here too!  GREAT Atmosphere for tailgating and decent races.  Meier's was the sponsor of the race.  And when they lost that sponsorship, they lost the race too.  May be a pipe dream now to bring it back, not sure.

INDYCAR has announced that they are extending the lap count of 6 races this season to add for additional on track action and an additional dynamic to the teams.

Palou gets the win.  Scott Dixon passes Joseph Newgarden for 2nd (his 5 time running second at this track) and Newgarden 3rd.

Some good strategy in this one.  But Ganassi and Penske are the best teams and hard to beat their cars.

There is a local connection in IndyCar racing this year. Jacob Abell from Louisville is racing his rookie season with Dale Coyle racing.
