Pendleton County/Harrison County predictions

Friday night's 38th District title game at Robertson County will be between these two rivals, who have had some memorable tourney matchups in the past.

Harrison County is the favorite on paper, especially considering the Breds won by 15 in Falmouth on January 30th. The trio of Thompson, Jenkins, & Pulliam is pretty strong when they're clicking.

Pendleton County saw the return of 8th grader Dontaie Allen in last night's semis, and he had an outstanding performance. Allen did not play in the January 30th game, so his presence should make this game a lot more competitive.

Do the Thorobreds win their 3rd straight District title or will Belcher's Bombers pull the upset?

Dontaie Allen makes the difference. He spreads out the floor. This opens up better looks for Wade Browning and Michael Antrobus. He also will help on the rebounding aspect too.

Talent should be Harrison by a mile. But, the Wildcats will fight to the end. Have made this comment before...Harrison is weak from long range; and a better team when they keep Thompson underneath. If he doesn't stay in the paint to fight Pendleton's big (Antobus, I think) then Pendleton's hustle and 3's might carry the day. Belcher is an awesome X's and O's coach. Pendleton 61-58.

Just saw that Dontae Allen was back and scored 34 last night. Change my close upset of Harrison thoughts to a solid victory for the Wildcats.
