At least the Reds got some help today.

Ryan Franklin blows another save as he gives up a 2 run HR to Matt Kemp in the bottom of the 9th in a 2-1 loss to the Dodgers.

The Nationals sweep the Brewers in a DH.

The Rockies score 4 runs in the bottom of the 8th to beat the Cubs 9-5.

The Padres beat the Astros 8-6.

Heading into the new week the Reds lead the Cardinals by 1.5 games, the Pirates, Brewers and Cubs by 2 games, and the Astros by 4.5 games.

30 starts. Maybe 32...

I'm not sure. I guess it will depend on the alternatives but if Cueto and Bailey throw better than EV has and you have Leake/Wood/Bronson throwing well.....

My guess is he will not/can not continue on this pace so it will be an academic discussion.

^ Apparently Bailey's looked good recently. But we've heard that 1,000 times.

I'm a big Homer supporter. However, he needs to show he can throw consistent strikes and get into the 7th against MLB pitching. He's already proven he can dominate AAA.

They have deemed him the "ace". Not going anywhere...
