Log Mountain Boy
YES!! I have seen him play several times now and IMO I think he is atleast a 3 year player. He reminds me a little bit of a Tyler Hansborough in the sense that he is a great college player, but is not as good of an NBA prospect as his college play will show. spe690
Yes. WIthout question. He will be at UK for at least 3 years and he could very well be a 4 year player.
UKPat02
No way. 2 years tops. Too many people out there to tug on his ear.
sweet16
I will wait to see him play against Div. 1 competition before I make a prediction like that. But I will never say a player will stay for 3 years the way they jump to the NBA. It would be better for most to stay that long but they all don't do that. A little bit on the high side, you think? He reminds me of Jason Parker. Should stay at least 2.
Milfordflash
I think he will stay 3 and probably 4 years. He is a smart kid and wants to get his education along with playing ball.

STRIKE3
Leaving early, is often the downfall of many young players. Only so many slots in the NBA. Adjusting to college competition, will be a challenge for anyone. Be anxious to see, how he does.
BucksFan
I would say lets see him play a year, then we can start this discussion.

NEERFAN
I'll wait to pass judgement once I actually see him on the court but from what I've read he's very raw on offense, and that doesn't bode well for early entry.
sweet16
I bet he stays at least one year.

You misunderstood me. I was using Hansborough as an example of someone who is very valuable in college, but does not have great pro value. I don't think Patterson is going to be the nex Jamal Mashburn or anything like that. I go think he is a player at a position UK desperately needed a guy like him. I worry about the lofty expectations placed on his shoulders right now.
