Is Iowa State better than Ok State?
I would think not, but they did beat them head to head.

So, what do we do? Bama is more deserving due to the fact they are there, nuff said. "Better?" we will never know...
That's more like it.

Anyone still want to say OK St deserves to play LSU?

This game has no impact on that IMO. Maybe it proves that OSU was not as good as their record but there really was not concrete way of knowing that when the BCS rankings came out.

I believe that Alabama deserves to play LSU for the National Championship game. My biggest reason for hating the fact that it's going to happen, is that if Alabama wins, then there's no set winner. LSU fans will cry and moan. Alabama fans will cry and moan. With a split decision, there is a technical "Champion," in that split series, there will be criers and whiners on both sides.

Well its certainly not been a defensive battle in the Oklahoma St vs Stanford game. Regardless of the outcome of this game I still think Oklahoma State had no business playing LSU.

My thoughts before the game, my thoughts as I watched the game and no doubt after watching that OK St. should not be in the title game.

If either team had dominated the other in the Rose Bowl and Alabama beat LSU, then there could, maybe, be an argument for a split National Title. However, neither did, so there is no chance for a split title and no evidence Oklahoma State belonged with LSU in the title game over Alabama.

I'll second that. IMO Oklahoma St. and Stanford would both be outclassed by Bama and LSU. BCS got it right.

So Oklahoma State beats one of the other top ranked teams in the country, yet this game shows that they don't deserve? Wow makes perfect sense, you beat a great team but that shows you don't deserve, Ok then. They just beat one of the top teams in the country, they just showed they are one of the top 3 teams in the country. What happens if Bama loses AGAIN to LSU, does that prove that they weren't the 2nd best then? Which then means Oklahoma State should have gotten the chance. The whole system is a mess, and it's stupid for anyone to say Bama is better when no one knows. Especially after one team in Oklahoma State just beat another top team in Stanford. Opinions are proved wrong all the time in sports, and it's a shame that opinions are how we determine who plays in the Championship.

I think we're qualified to tell by watching the teams play ... by most every objective standard, Alabama looks to be clearly better than Oklahoma State. There is this thing called defense that sets LSU and Alabama apart from the pack.

Before watching the game last night, I would have disagreed. However, after watching the game, I have to agree. OK St. should have lost that game. They are NOT as good as LSU or Alabama.

Alabama lost to LSU, who has not been beaten by anyone. Oklahoma St. lost to Iowa St. a team that has been beaten by Texas, Baylor, Missouri, Texas A&M, Oklahoma, Kansas St, and Rutgers. That loss is about as bad as it can get for a team claiming to be worthy of a national championship. That is why the Cowboys played last night and not a week later. It is what it is.

Anything can happen in a one-game scenario, but I believe LSU and Alabama would beat Stanford and Oklahoma State by at least 2-3 TD's on a normal day.

No we are not qualified to tell. If we are so qualified to tell on who is better, then EVERYBODY would be able to predict who wins in every game played. We see all the time in sports what we think is true, ends up getting proved wrong on the field. I mean I think Bama is better too, however no one knows that for sure. I mean we all would have thought Oklahoma State would have beaten a team like Iowa State. Most people would think Bama has a better chance at winning at home against LSU than they would on a neutral site, but they didn't. It's a shame that college football makes their title game based on who people believe are the best two teams. Bama very well could be the 2nd best team, but no one knows that for sure. They just like other teams did lose, and actually lost to the team they play in the title game on their own home fied. College football they say has its playoff system during the regular season, well Bama lost on its own home field. So they should be out too. Honestly as I said in the other thread, the most fair thing honestly would be to crown LSU National Champions now, and just had teams playing to determine who was second best. That is much better than just using opinions to determine who LSU plays.

I'm not a college football expert, but I think I can watch Alabama and Oklahoma State and come to a solid determination that the Crimson Tide is better.

I would much rather have a playoff, but as ridiculous system, we actually do have the country's two best teams playing for the national championship.
