^^^^They got it right, could Bama beat Stanford? Could Bama beat Iowa State? Could Bama beat OSU with their 107 rated defense? Now watch...You play the season, all the games. After all games are completed you have several sources vote to rank the teams, this is done after the season is over.

They vote, put all the info in the computer, they read these votes & ratings based on the season just done.

Then they put these facts all together, and then they put these schools against each other in bowl games, they miss a few because issues don't get a fair assessment, but when it comes down to the final 2 teams they use the point system and these points find the best two teams.

They got it right! Don't watch the game, but I think we have moved on. Feel free to bash Bama all you want to, but when you say they don't deserve to be in the game, you are mistaken.

Those of you saying the BCS got it right are the reason we still have this god forsaken system. What makes Bama more deserving than the other 1 loss teams? I mean, Stanford has a really good resume, with there 1 loss being to #5 Oregon, and OK St lost an away game to an inferior team, but it was in the midst of a terrible tragedy. I just can't say the BCS got it right, when multiple teams had the same record. Especially when the team that made it didn't win their conference, or their division. I know Stanford didn't either, but I'm just saying that I can't say they "got it right".
Stanford lost by three touchdowns at home. Alabama lost at home, but by a field goal in overtime.

Iowa State needed to win to help the debate for the Cowboys but lost to Rutgers, and now are a 6-7 team.

So, lets see how the Cowboys do against Stanford. Nick had the Cowboys behind Stanford in his poll. Its Monday and the first game just started Penn State against Houston, Houston just hit a field goal up 10-0.

Alabama would beat Oklahoma State by 2 TD's.

The best two teams in the nation are playing for the championship, just like the system is suppose to do (but it hasn't always worked, undefeated Auburn was left out a few years ago when a couple of 1 loss teams played for the title).

Did the computers not rank OSU ahead of Bama? Without a playoff or a head to head meeting there is no way to know for certain that Bama is better than OSU. That's not opinion, it is fact. Playing the guessing game or assuming does nothing. I believe that Bama is better than OSU but to make a blanket statement that they are definitely better even though they haven't played each other is impossible. To say the BCS definitely got it right is impossible, even if OSU loses and Alabama wins.

With no way to determine this without a playoff, the best way is to look at the teams. Even though on a given night any team at this level COULD beat another, as one who has watched these two teams I think Bama wins 9 out of 10 times and would win rather easily. I have no problem with Bama LSU 2, just with there was at least a plus one option to help settle some of this on the field.

I agree with the "Plus One" and have stated that since Auburn got torched by not getting to play, and I do not care for Auburn.

We just have to play the hand thats dealt to us. But Bama is a One point favorite over LSU, the folks in Vegas might have a clue.

All true. Still doesn't mean Alabama is definitely more deserving than OSU or better than OSU.

Who cares if they would beat Bama? All that is is simple conjecture. This isn't about who should be playing Bama.

What we DO KNOW is that Bama has proven they can't beat LSU. That's been shown on the field, not in the polls, or in the computers, but on the field. They shouldn't get a second chance if teams like Oklahoma State have a more impressive resume and haven't had that chance.

Does OK State have a more impressive resume?

Is Iowa State better than Ok State?

Anyone still want to say OK St deserves to play LSU?

They are sure making me look foolish right now. Hopefully they can rally back so I don't have to eat a 10 pound crow...

That's better lol.

So, what do we do? Bama is more deserving due to the fact they are there, nuff said. "Better?" we will never know...
