Highlands Bluebirds win their 21st state championship!!

Way to go BIRDS.

I'd say Franklin-Simpson put up a little more fight than what was expected, but were not ever a truly serious threat after they fumbled on the Highlands 1 and the Birds drove 99 yards to go up 14 points.

Ball game! FS put of a good showing. Had a fumble on the 1 going in which would have made it 14-14, instead it was 14-7. Highlands Drove 99 yards for a td.

 

Before the half Highlands had the ball inside the 10 going in with about 7 seconds left. Towles ran around the end and was stopped at the 1 and it was half time. So both teams were stopped on the 1.

 

Second half Highlands owned even though FS got an onside kick. FS had a lot of fumbles that they recovered themselves.

 

At one point FS was really moving the ball well but it looked like Highlands made adjustments.

I know my math is shaky but I counted 7 fumbles for FS.
