I thought Tom was the athletic director at Dixie. Is that not correct?

Assistant Principal.

Must not be something real serious with only a one game suspension.

That......or someone's only getting a slap on the wrist.

Usually a fight will cost you a one game suspension.

Could be a perception thing. One game suspension doesn't look as bad a removal from the team. If they don't win this week, both are in effect the same. If they do win, suspend him (them) for another game.

Two years back CovCath suspended two players for TWO games for having smokeless tobacco in their lockers. That says something about standards and results you get by setting the bar high and holding the kids to it.

To summarize:

Illegal activities took place before the game on Cooper's premises.

Game played.

The next morning there was an interrogation of many (all?) players when they showed up to watch films.

Some time this week some players went to the coach (or principal?) and said "him or us."

3 players suspended.

Zeke will not be in attendance Friday night in Lexington.

All of the above is confirmed and not speculation.

Assuming Clyde's almost always reliable sources are right, the bold above happening in the sequence above is a very tell tale commentary on the program IMO.

If this is true, and all that was handed out was a one game suspension, then something is pretty screwed up at Dixie.

Does Mr. Pike play basketball?

Does Mr. Pike play basketball?

Yes..

Being that it is only a one game suspension, I would have to assume that the violation in question was in direct proportion to the penalty.

If this is true, could Cooper possibly pursue something since the activities occurred on their facility?
