He will not be in Lexington on Friday.

So which one is it Clyde? Suspended or College visit?

Would seem strange to take a college visit and my guess is even the college would think it would be strange, to make a visit on a playoff tourney game night!

Not very long...if people disregard the rules. If anyone is not sure about the rules of BGP, please review them. :thumb:

As Joe Friday used to say on the TV show, Dragnet "just the facts ". (Anyone ? )

IDK, I am not a big fan of diggin on a High School kid regardless of the incident. For people to get on this Football sports forum and start speculating on a HS kid is flat wrong imo. Maybe the facts are the facts but the "ole washwomen goshipers" on here wanting to throw stones at a HS kid is pretty "un-christianlike" if you ask me.

The kid has made mistakes, his mistakes come at a higher price because of his accolades and the fact that some feel the need to just pick away. This is a matter that should be dealt with by the HS, the admistrators and the parents if you ask me and not on a public Sports forum.

Very good statement, Sweeperboy. There is a lot of wild speculation flying around, and we all need to just cool our heels a bit and let the this thing work itself out. Remember that posting false information about anyone is not allowed, and we have rules in place to protect children from public ridicule. Please, let's all just take a break until more is made public about this situation --if there is one.

Children? Isn't he a legal adult now? Just asking.

I too am interested and just wonder if Skinny or one of the newsprint guy's will pick up on the story and report on it? I mean a kid who was/is suppose to be one of the best QB in the Country and all of a sudden he isn't playing in a first round playoff game for his team, a team that was considered one of the top 6A teams in the state, at the start of the season!

What are they going to write other than he didn't play? No one is going on record nor should they.

Fact: He's not missing game because of a recruiting trip.

Note: This discussion has been moved here so that it may continue, away from the high school football forum.

Although the rules are slightly more flexible here, they do still apply. Please read the welcome thread at the top of this Hot Topics forum and be VERY mindful of everything you post here, as you should in any other thread on BGP.

I agree somewhat with what you are saying. I do think that when an athlete of his stature is unavailable to play for his team for their first round playoff game then right or wrong the reasoning behind that will be discussed. Especially on places like this. The good thing about the discussion on BGP is that it will be moderated to fullest and if it gets out of hand then the thread will be shut down. I am very intrigued as to what happened with Pike and what is going to happen in his future. I hate it for him and his family if he indeed made some bad decisions causing his suspension and embarrassment to his family.

I tell my kids and their friends to think hard before they do something stupid as their bad decision ultimately hurts way more people than just them. Sometimes kids listen sometimes they don't. It's part of growing up. Doesn't mean it can't be discussed on forums such as this. I am not for bashing the kid whatsoever. I am for discussing the situation though.

He will not be at the game on Friday.

Not sure if that answers your question.

How can he not be at the game? If he has been suspended he is still part of the team and should be on the sidelines supporting his teammates who have put up with a lot of his antics.

If the terms of his suspension say he can't be at the game then he won't be there.

If he was suspended by the school then he can't be there.

Was he suspended? Kicked off the team? What is the story? It's in Hot Topics now. What is the story? Or pm me the story of you don't want to post it on here.

It figures, the one day I need to talk to my Dixie source, they're on vacation.

The situation may be freely discussed here, as long as the information you post is true and no criminal activity by a minor is mentioned.

Are we using the legal definition of a minor? Zeke is 18.
