Why dont they mix in a varsity game with the big 4 ,especially now that coach Rhodenberg (sp?) is at Moeller. I would think if X/T really wanted these games they could get them done!

I checked with our athletic office about open dates Thursday. We still need at least 3 games. If Highlands wants to visit Trinity next season, we'll be glad to have you. Why don't you let them know this is available.

We would love to play Moeller, Colraine, X, Elder, bring them on!

Trinity has played Cincinnati X two straight years, beating them this year. We play them again next season. Elder was also on the schedule but the game was cancelled due to needing home games for both sides. T plays Moehler as well on Freshman and JV level every year

 

Maybe Highlands only has room for a home game!

Congrats to T. They were heads and fields about SK and that is no disrespect to SK. I talked to a lot of T fans and had a good time down in the 'Ville.

How many does T dress? It looked as if they had a small army out there.

 

 

SK played hard. After T faked the punt on 4th and inches it was over. SK didn't have the speed to keep up with their boys. Good Job SK, it was a great thing for the program and something to build on. We can't be happy to be there next time. And congrats on an awesome season.

 

I was told Chad had a level 2 concussion and was present at SKs banquet today in a neck brace.

If you want to look at it that way, then why doesn't the KHSAA take the preseason top 2 and ensure they are on different sides of the bracket every year?

 

That is probably a fine idea for Class 6A. However, preseason does not often reveal the two top teams in the other five classes- with the possible exception of Highlands, of course.:thumb:

I was at the game and I sure did not hear that being said and I sat right by the student section. Sour grapes and hear say should not be spread on this format. This is high school sport website.

And as for not taking a knee, I am not sure that I have seen both teams take a knee when someone is injured, I am sure it was not out of disrespect for you player. Good job SK, you had a great season.:dancingpa

A previous thread said that the Birds play Ryle twice next year. That makes no sense. Why not Birds and T in one of those games and let Ryle find another opponent?

Trinity is 2 tds better than Highlands. I have seen every GCL team play (some numerous times) and have been to over 30 football games this season. IMO, there isn't a team in Ohio or Kentucky that would have beaten this Trinity team Saturday night.

 

Simon Kenton isn't that bad, Trinity is just that good.

 

Although I will say, outside of Trinity and St. X, 6A as a whole in KY just isn't that good. The 2A state runner-up had no problem beating the 6A state runner-up. That should never happen.

 

PS-Don't know about the cheerleaders but the Trinity student section was chanting the "Nah..Nah...Hey...Hey...Goodbye" chant. I heard it with my own two ears. Made me sick! I expected better from Trinity, even if it was just high school students.

 

 

I disagree, multiple OH teams could have beat Trinity this year. Yeah you beat a good but not the same St X team who beat you last year. I just wish T would find there way up to Ft. Thomas. Of course, all of this is off topic. Trinity are the champs in this thread.

One thing that puzzled me is why the SK coaches would not let their players shake hands with Trinity for about 5 minutes after the game ended, actually standing guard in front of them. In Louisville, the custom is for the hand shaking to take place right after the game ends.
