T was impressive, which one was 38? I know them him and 43??? I think were both going D1. 38 was pretty huge for a high school kid though. I saw him and was like wait a second it's one thing for people to say they've got kids from out of state, but it looked like they stold him right off of a college football team. Young man was big, strong, fast, and athletic.

 

I believe 38 was Jordan Whiting and 43 was Brock Messena.

We've played T three times now, and that was by far the most awesome display of football I've seen. I don't think any team in the state of Kentucky would have beaten them last night.

38 is Jordan Whiting, who committed to Ohio State already.

"Independent" means it's not of the county school system, Bellevue is independent of Campbell Co, as is Dayton. Is Frankfort part of the Franklin county system or "independent" of it? Raceland is independent of their county I believe, and they are pretty good as well. Is Hazard part of Perry Co's system? Are all of the non private schools in Jefferson County part of the Jefferson County system?

 

I believe the Kenton County schools (3 schools) now have open enrollment.

 

Yes, all Jeff Co PS are "owned" by the JCPS. JCPS does accept kids from other counties.

Independent means they can take kids from outside their school district, usually for a small fee. See Beechwood, Highlands, Bowling Green......and they don't have to worry about offending the County School System.

I don't think it is a sense of humor more a sense of pride for the journey. They played hard all night and at the end you would have thought they won the state championship the way they celebrated with each other. Congrats to Trintiy on number 19, they are a very good football team. I son't think too many teams that were in Louisville this weekend could have competed against them on that night.

 

I am proud of the pioneers and coach Marksberry, they did NKY proud on Satruday by their class, and fan support. I will say this that if T people think the championship game was last Friday against St. X so be it but I guess we can say that the public school championship was last Friday as well when SK beat a very good Male team.

 

You will never have a perfect system but I really enjoyed the weekend of great football.

Different than best game watched....defensively we didn't play very well in that game, that's why I purposely left it out.

 

I understand what you're saying, but keep one thing in mind. We scored at will, and the score would not have even been close had the refs called the two off sides on the onside kicks. They would not have scored then and we probably would have.

 

I will agree, the Elder and SK games were special.

What are you talking about? It was a clean and not very hard hit. The linebacker was diving over the runner and at most brushed him with his forearm(s). I watched it on replay 3 or 4 times on the stadium closed circuit feed. I really don't see how such minimal, if any, contact could produce a serious injury. And I surely hope it did not, for the player's sake.

First of all, the KHSAA reviewed the footage three times. They stated it was not malicious. Secondly, Brock has not received a D-1 offer. The 'Neer was being dragged down by another tackler at the same time. There's no way to adjust for that. If anything, it appears Brock backed off slightly.

I spoke with members of the 'Chain gang" - who are Officials. They said it was clean.

On the Insight broadcast Earl Browning started out saying it was H to H. Then he seemed to back off the statement. The main thing is that the young man is OK. The T player is a heat seeking missle. I think he knocked Graves County QB out of the game too (also a clean hit). With the SK player being dragged down I really do not see how one could intend on doing such harm, It would be impossible to calculate where to hit. IMO.
