I absolutely think that UK should have beaten South Carolina, Georgia, and Vandy. IMO 'Bama was close, but I never really thought UK could win it.

Haha got to Love how we do things on here. If it was opposite and that happened to UL, you all would be all over it saying that was a terrible call. But since it was UK, you say it was very legit...With that said though I sure if it was opposite, some UK fan on here would say it was legit. Its just funny how different people see things, when it is not their team.

By the way IMO that was a terrible call. If he hit him in the head then fine, but he did not hit him in the head.

I'm a UK fan and thought it was the correct call.

Umm, you won't find a bigger UK fan than me, and I think it was a good call.

Sorry FC...;)

It was a close enough play that it should have been called. Lets not completely blame the refs. Remove the blinders and you might just have seen Adams get away with pushing off, which set up a TD. Cats got beat bad in the first half. Lets just blame that for the loss.

This changes a lot Vandy beats UT next week they will hold tie breaker with S. Carolina and Vandy goes to Outback, S. Carolina to Peach, Ole Miss to Nashville, and UK to Memphis.

Good weekend for Cats fans eh?

The first half was an embarrassment. 290 yards of offense to one of the weakest offensive teams in the league. Granted special teams played a role in it, but my goodness, shed a blocker.

I think Joker Phillips gameplan was very questionable. Where was the option that worked so well last week, putting the ball in your playmaker's hands.

Cobb didn't throw the ball very well tonight, he missed Roark who was wide open for TD. Add to it the receiving corps is very green but not very good.

The last pass the receiver was not aggressive enough finishing his route.

As for roughing the passer penalty, I thought it was a bad call. My reason was reinforced after the ref told Brooks Johnson took three extra steps. No way. You have a running QB out of the pocket scrambling...and I didn't think the hit was malicious. If anything, I think the referee may have been anticipating a late hit.

Was a definite momentum changer, but not the reason they lost.

Brooks gets some blame as well, they came out flat again...

Congrats to Vandy, they finally get the gorilla off their back.

Where will UK end up?

Lets see, UF and Bama in the BCS.

Georgia to the Capital One.

LSU with their stunning comeback to the Cotton.

South Carolina, assuming they beat Clemson to the Outback.

Vandy to the Music City.

Ole Miss to the Chick Fil A

UK to the Liberty...maybe a shot at the Chick Fil A if they beat Tennessee.

Sorry FC...;)

Feel free to add me to that list. Everyone knows how the NCAA protects the QB, apparently Johnson didn't get the memo...

Tough loss for sure but I indeed think that Vandy was WELL protected in this game. I havent watched my DVR yet but I know for sure the white hat messed up on one of the rougher the kicker call's. Another question I have is when Nichson threw the ball away while he was in the endzone, did the ref make the right no call on it?...

Just an assumption but D.J Moore is the best playmaker in the SEC that doesn't play for UF.

Umm, you won't find a bigger UK fan than me, and I think it was a good call.

If I'm not bigger, then I'm closing in on you. My son and I stopped at Krystal Burger in Mt. Sterling both ways.:sssh:

2 weeks in a row Cobb has thrown an interception on their final drive of the game, in crucial spots. I hope these don't shake his confidence... I hope he realizes that without him, they may not even be in those positions.

With that said, I think Randall thinks too much at the end of games.

I am seldom critical of play selection because I figure the coaches know their kids capabilities better than anyone else, but I thought at that point when they were 3rd and 5 they would have been better off to let Cobb free lance on TWO plays. I have a lot more confidence in his legs than his arm. However, the bottom line is they should never have been in that situation. All the points off the penalties were obvious killers, but the decision on 4th down right before the half that led to a FG also hurt, momentum wise if nothing else! But, hindsight is 20-20 and I agreed with the decision at the time!

The play calling was bad all night. Why make Cobb a drop back passer in this game instead of running the option?

Nickson played very well for Vandy.

Minus Cobb's 2 picks, he played well.

Thought this one would be close, but I also thought UK would win it. Big win for Vandy, they needed it. Kentucky gives up 368 yards of offense, goes 1-10 on 3rd down, Vandy 7-15, the Cat's run 50 plays to Vandy's 70..

The roughing the passer is the worst call I've seen this season.

That was horrible.. Let them play!!! The last time I checked it is football they are playing..

Great post. I agree totally.:thumb:

UK's tackling was inept. Poor tackling is a sure indication of a lack of focus. A major problem for UK (and UL for that matter) is that they have a much below average receiving corps. Consequently, they can't throw long and loosen things up. The receivers have a hard time getting open. I don't care if you're John Elway, you can't be a good passer if your guys can't get open. Finally, Joker and Rich........let Cobb try to win the game(s) with his feet, not his arm.
