Even if it's only 10-12 times that's plenty. He's looked his way 5 times all game. You can't expect to win without utilizing one of the best 5 WRs in the history of the game.

They targeted TO 9 times yesterday and gave him a handoff on a reverse...he's not getting overlooked.

Here's the numbers for the season...

Week 1 @ Cleveland (W 28-10)

8 Targets - 5 Rec, 87 Yds, 1 TD

Week 2 vs. Philadelphia (W 41-37)

4 Targets - 3 Rec, 89 Yds, 2 TD

Week 3 @ Green Bay (W 27-16)

7 Targets - 2 Rec, 17 Yds

Week 4 vs. Washington (L 24-26)

17 Targets - 7 Rec, 71 Yds, 1 TD (2 Rush, 11 Yds)

Week 5 vs. Cincinnati (W 31-22)

3 Targets - 2 Rec, 67 Yds, 1 TD (1 Rush, 8 Yds)

Week 6 @ Arizona (L 24-30)

9 Targets - 4 Rec, 36 Yds (1 Rush, 6 Yds)

Dallas' two losses have occurred on the weeks that TO was targeted the most. Ironically enough, his production in those games is worse.

In the Cowboys 4 wins, TO has been targeted an average of 5.5 times resulting in an average of 3 catches for 65 Yds (21.7 ypc) and a TD.

In the two losses, the averages are 13 targets, 5.5 catches for 53.5 Yds (9.7 ypc) and 0.5 TD.

In addition, Dallas is averaging just under 32 pts per game in the wins and 24 in the losses. That's better than a TD difference.

It seems to me that the Cowboys offense bogs down when they try too hard to get TO the ball...not the opposite. The Cowboys could use a big play WR to pair opposite TO.

But, since they don't have that, they need to make sure they stay committed to the run game and Marion Barber. In addition to Barber, they need to make sure Felix Jones is worked into the offense...he's the most explosive player they have and they need to get him 10-15 touches per week, IMO. If they do that and just let the game come to them, they'll be fine. It will open up the big play opportunities for Owens. He may not get 7 or 8 catches, but his yardage will be just as good if not better because there will be more big play opportunities.

That said, until they get a defense that's giving up over 26 points per game since Week One fixed, they're going to struggle.
