halfback20
You are not seriously saying he is going to give up football for rugby??????? I'm not...that story is though.
halfback20
The Bears signed Briggs to a great deal. They got him for less than the Raiders paid Gibril Wilson! Wow!
Mr. Reality
The Giants pick up key free agents from time to time. Antonio Pierce, Plaxico Burress, Kareem McKenzie, Lawrence Tynes, Sam Madison, and Kawika Mitchell were all key to their championship run last year and were all free agent acquisitions. However, the Giants also drafted very well last year. All of their draft picks (Ross, Boss, Steve Smith, DeOssie, Alford, Bradshaw, and Michael Johnson all got a lot of playing time. Not to mention they signed Michael Matthews (ended up playing a lot of time at TE), Craig Dahl (started a game or two at safety but got injured and missed the rest of the season) as well as rookie free agents. They had a GREAT draft last year. They were signed over the course of several years, adding a piece here and there; that is much different than signing a several in one year; chemistry and completely understanding a system are underrated. Drafting well is always a priority.

Mr. Reality
Yes, it took 3 years and 3 games (0-3 start) for them to come together and win it all. The last 5 Super Bowl winners have not had major acquisitions in the offseason, and most of the perennial championship contenders are not big players in free agency. John Anthony
Again I can't touch on it enough, the Bengals have the money to improve this team, mainly because of the strong fan support and record sell out streak. They have to invest in to this team or they are going to rub the fans the wrong way, well if they haven't already done so. We must draft better but even at that most of those kids will be 2-3 years away from impact. Two more 7-9 seasons or 6-10 and the sell outs will stop. born2reign
Bengal fans, Alge Crumpler has signed...with the Titans and Vince Young. Looks like Moss is going back to New England as well.
stick1
Crumpler to the Titans is a great pickup for the Titans! If they go get a solid WR or two then they will be a force to reckon with IMO.

cch5432
Is Ben really worth 102 million? Doubt it. I was going to say he puts fans in the stands, but Heinz Field would be full no matter who they put on the field.
halfback20
Is Ben really worth 102 million? He probably would have gotten more had he hit free agency, the market is CRAZY right now. I mean, Nate Clements got $80 million last year, as a corner.

Since then, Ben hasn't been a QB that would deserve $102 mil.
