I'd agree, he takes himself too serious at times. Part of my view stems from seeing him on other programs.

I don't think he takes himself too seriously at all. I don't know what you all are watching.

He did get a little serious on Crossfire, but I think it was well deserved, and still funny.

You have to be kidding. Stewart takes himself too seriously? What show have you watched?!?!?!
I prefer political humorists whose own political philosophy is not so transparent. As a conservative/libertarian I feel like Stewart is sneering at me. I guess I just don't like the thought of helping a socialist make a fortune at my expense.

Colbert strikes me as more of a professional who does not despise half of his audience because of their political views. If he does genuinely hate conservatives and libertarians, he hides his disdain well.

Jon Stewart rips into democrats as well, if you watched you might know that.

I have given my opinion of Stewart and you may disagree with it if you want. However, it is futile to attempt to disprove an opinion.

I have enough entertainment options available to me that I generally avoid supporting avowed socialists by providing them an audience. It is a matter of principle with me.

I have not attempted to disprove your opinion once, nor will I.

What I am doing is telling you that Jon Stewart pokes fun at politicians in both parties. I know, because I've seen him do it.

I can understand that you do not like him, and you do not want to watch him. I do not like the View or the women on The View (I think that is the name of that show). So I do not watch it. It's okay to dislike something.
