TRUE REDHOUND
What were Roskoph's stats?
DADDY CAT
I know he (Joe) had a 96 yard TD run from scrimmage, a kick off return for a TD to open the game and a few big runs, but Harlan did some nice work against the run in the 2nd half. Kudos to Stephen Davis on his fumble return for a TD. Wagner and Mitchell had good nights, along with Mike Hall on D. The Harlan QB was much better than I expected him to be. LC will have to step their game up a little down the stretch to have success. Some small, but correctible, mistakes being made.

outlawcoach
Good win campers, any numbers for Joe? The Harlan paper had him with 188 tds rushing and 4 tds....one td on a KO return. Lynn Camp went up 19-0 and had run 3 offensive plays, one of them a 96 yard run by Joe.

Dlbdonn
Is the school named after a teacher ?
DADDY CAT
No, not named after a teacher, but Lynn Camp is named for exactly what it sounds like: When parties were moving out of Virginia and into Kentucky in the late 1700's to settle and had to come through the Gap, a party led by a man named Lynn came through too late in the winter and/or became lost and spent the next couple of months or so here, hence the name. ( You can find Lynn Camp on civil war era maps, but Corbin did not yet exist.) The whole area of what is now CORBIN used to be called LYNN CAMP, but the name became discontinued due to the USPS when a post office was being set up. Apparently, there was already a Lynn Camp, KY being served by the USPS, so the name went away and Corbin was named after a preacher that someone in the clique knew here. Gray was already in existence, so the are became served by one of the two post offices and the attatchment to the name led to the school getting it's name and not being called Knox County Secondary #2 or West Knox High School.
