I know his name was brought up in regards to Conner last year (it was ina  thread somewhere) but I don’t recall those schools passing on him. If it’s so damming that they want to move on from him, and some schools passed on him last year, I believe whatever “the news is” would’ve been out in public already.

Conner did pass on him.

So glad after 17 years I got out of the referee business. Sully was always great to work for and a class act. What is going on at the HS level!?! Ruthsatz, Otte, and now Sully!?! All great coaches, tough on refs but respectful and some if not the best!

Conner got a good one. I had no clue Sully was shopping himself around before this year. Seems even more wierd his wife said that he wanted to retire at Cooper if he was trying to take other jobs and that it is public knowledge.

If Sully does fight it and “wins”. I personally wouldn’t want to be in the same building / working for a guy that tried to run me out. Sadly in my opinion , 1 of them has to go and hope it’s not the Coach.

If I were Sully I wouldn't want to come back if either the principal or the AD was still there because I am finding it hard to believe that the AD tried to go to bat for him. The AD is probably trying to save his own job right now. I wonder how often it is a principal does the AD's job for him.

No clue what RRW is referring to, but knowing why Drayden Pavey left Cooper and the conversation an adult had with him prior to him leaving, it's not hard to guess what the "culture" comment is referencing. 

 

They want everyone to look and act a certain way and when you don't, you don't fit in to their "culture."

Been through something similar to this. I stayed... WON... I guess. But, it takes a toll when you know your Bosses want you out. Just one example for me... I was never going to say something negative about my bosses in public(that would be a reflection of my character), but I was not going to lie and say good things either. Takes alot of energy to work like a madman in that environment, but you do what you got to do. 

Coach Sullivan and I were at Mason together when he was an assistant basketball coach. We wanted him to coach football. Crazy about him. Wish him the very best.

In this instance, where you have a people-first profession, and minors at that, and you are good at what you do as well as being liked by most...I get fighting it.  Sullivan has built that program into something special.  I see why it would be hard to leave, especially if it's not his choice.

I hear you and can understand that sentiment. But when you're dealing with kids/young men and an entire community, that's not the right reason to stay.

What is big money considered in high school basketball?

I was told yesterday evening that Coach Sullivan was placed on a "Corrective Action Plan" after last season. I am assuming this is some sort of like probationary period, but if anyone can enlighten me (and the rest of us) on what a Corrective Action Plan means exactly I would appreciate it.
