RockPride
^ Fine....they say no...the Cards say yes, the kids shape up...it's a win-win for Louisville, and the kids.

RockPride
I guess they figure it's not worth the risk..The Cards' track record in this department is very good, as all of the afore mentioned were major contributors to the teams' success, and they left here MUCH better people than what they were perceived to be when they arrived. rltrace
It's my understanding this player has not been in trouble with the law since he started college at Miami in August of 2005. He has paid his dues for all of his previous offenses, many of which were back in his mid teens. Giving him another shot with a no tolerance policy is the right thing to do. Blackballing him from football, which at many times in his life was the only positive thing in his life, is not the right thing to do.

RockPride
Williams, a 6-3, 232-pound inside linebacker, was the nation’s No. 1 inside linebacker and a five-star recruit according to Rivals.com. He originally committed to the University of Miami in 2005 and was accepted despite a troubled youth that included a double-digit arrest record, but was forced to redshirt after having knee surgery in August before his freshman year. Williams proved to be a solid citizen at Miami, and he played several games as a redshirt freshman. He chose to transfer from Miami in good academic standing at the end of that season. Williams wanted to transfer to Louisville then, but was blocked by Miami’s transfer policy. Looking to move away from the Miami area and the trouble of his neighborhood, Williams and his guardian moved near West Los Angeles Community College where coach Craig Austin accepted Williams on the team on strict conditions. Austin, who is also a Los Angeles County Sherriff, was so pleased with Williams’ work ethic and ability, he started making calls to colleges about his star linebacker, including a call to Jurich late last year. Jurich and the Louisville coaching staff set up an official visit for Williams for last weekend, and the star linebacker apparently would like to enroll at UofL as early as this summer. Williams will have two years of eligibility remaining...

02Ram54
The kid has kept his nose clean, taken care of school work. People are acting like he got busted and kicked out of Miami so now Louisville is looking to pick him up when he gets out of the big house, and that's not the case. If he's turned it around, and keeps it that way, I'll be glad to cheer for him.
RockPride
You may have heard the name Willie Williams being talked about during the past few days in regards to University of Louisville football recruiting. Williams was one of the top high school football players in the country out of high school, but also has a troubled past that includes multiple arrests. The linebacker spent a year at the University of Miami, left there in August and played four games this past season for West Los Angeles College. Now, U of L is recruiting Williams – who has two years of eligibility left - and he was on campus for a visit last weekend. But after that, there are not a lot of facts with this story......
