I had no idea that Cov. Cath. had totally dominated SK like this. Thanks for sharing @Colonels_Wear_Blue

Simon Kenton was terrible up  until the 2000’s. Then the teams didn’t play. It should come as no surprise. Simon Kenton couldn’t beat anyone before Marksberry was coach.

Really! I can easily think of 3 games this coming weekend that I would put at game of the week before this one. In no particular order: St. X vs. Male Pikevile vs. LCA Johnson Cent. vs.

  • Sometimes you gotta lean toward your head not gut.  I can't remember how many years in a row I'd see the Bengals schedule and say 10-6 and they'd win two games ?

  • Let's just say the 80's and 90"s weren't kind for SK.  We were he the homecoming queen each week.

Ouch!!

@MaddenCurse44 still punching air after reading these numbers.

SK struggled to score with their starters playing (first half) in both of their scrimmages. In their first game, SK’s QBs were under constant pressure despite these big guys on the line. Thanks to an implosion of discipline by the red Colonels SK was gifted almost a football field and a half of yardage which gave them short fields most of the second half. This allowed SK to escape with a 10 point win. SK also has issues covering wide receivers. That’s a three game sample size that tells us SK hasn’t got the horses to hang with a disciplined and well coached team like CovCath.

But I guess to each their own.

When you're a avid Simon Kenton supporter, then this is your game of the week. Lol.

CovCath wins this.

Agreed, and I don’t think it stays close.

@NEERFAN already wins my favorite post of the week! ??

Congrats CovCath on their big win last week.  I think they ride that momentum into this game for a comfortable win.  After a win vs your rival, that following week's practice is usually really productive, and I look for CovCath to be hitting on all cylinders.

I think, through no fault of their own, Simon Kenton will suffer from not playing their game last week vs Woodford Co.  SK played well vs Dixie and needed to keep that going to have a good shot in this game IMO.

Good luck to both teams and no injuries!

Calpreps ratings show Cov Cath with around 9pt advantage. I think Cov Cath wins by 14.

Was it SK that gave CCH all it could handle in the preseason scrimmage last year?  I know there were big changes at big positions but they were obviously well coached.
I’ll take the Colonels by 15.
