I always thought this "rule" was implied.  As many stated above there haven't been many and Starks did leave his senior year to play football in Ohio so the evidence seems to be there.

It will be interesting how this plays out with Harney.  I would have to think this would have been discussed before he enrolled there.

I heard from a guy that knows a guy, that is relatives with a person in the building that he is there.

I honestly do not know but have been told that he is there, but again....hearsay.

There were multiple football players on this years team, so this "rule" is not implied.

Not in the know at all. Coaches of all sport’s selfishly want their guys concentrating 100% on the sport they coach. How many actually want multi-sport athletes? But for coaches that would come out and actually say that I believe would do them a huge disservice. 

No coach should ever tell a high school kid they can't be involved in any extra curricular activity.   They are kids and they are trying to find themselves and their identity.   If you are telling them pick one or the other, then you shouldn't be a high school coach IMO.    If you want them focused only on your sport so your record can be better you're in it for the wrong reason.

Yes.

I know for a fact that Ruthsatz actually encourages kids to play multiple sports if they so desire. The current basketball program now has more football players than it’s ever had in its history, so this rumor has no foundation. Not to mention, Brady Hussey is a two-time regional tennis champion who will most likely repeat this year, and has a chance at winning the state.

Ask Ruthsatz about his former freshman HC  now varsity assistant about telling the freshman they have to choose between basketball and football.

Why do players ignore that and still play football? 

And why do football players get varsity basketball playing time?

And for what it's worth, if Coach Ruthsatz were telling his players they can't play basketball, he'd be looking at some read-deal consequences with the Cov Cath administration.
