Somebody must not have been going to both football AND basketball games this year...because Aiden Jones would Noah Johnson would definitely like to ask you where you're getting your information from, I'm sure. I'd assume Seth Jones would be interested to find out as well.

And for what it's worth, if Coach Ruthsatz were telling his players they can't play basketball, he'd be looking at some read-deal consequences with the Cov Cath administration.

White noise.

Truth.

No coach should ever tell a high school kid they can't be involved in any extra curricular activity.   They are kids and they are trying to find themselves and their identity.   If you are telling the

Role players .. if we are looking at the pipeline of who can be the next Ruthsatz, Disken, Ipsaro, Thelen, Rylee, etc the heirs to that pedestal are in the freshman class and they all play football (especially if McGillis leaves). I didn’t see many on the JV roster capable of making that big jump.  Maybe I’m wrong on that assessment.   Either transfers or young players(who play football) plus Hussey will likely be the foundation next year.

Think what you want of the kids as basketball players. The overarching point is those guys aren’t being asked to pick a sport.  The superstars that you named were strictly basketball players so they made the choice themselves. Hussey will be the best player on CCH next year and among the very best in the region, but basketball is a secondary sport for him that he just happens to be really good at. Ruthsatz youngest son and potentially the best player in the family is a 6th grader who has many really talented multi-sport athlete friends who are probably going to play more sports than just basketball at CCH. The coaches will continue to understand that and encourage that.

I understand and am aware.  I’ll agree to disagree.  Do I think Scott and Joe are coming out and saying you can’t play football? Absolutely not!  Do I think there are influential comments along the lines  of “you could be similar to (blank), if you committed yourself to basketball!” Yes!

I just can’t help myself. If anyone thinks that a basketball coach at a school with a successful football program encourages kids to play both is a fool. Any school, not just Park Hills. They may not say it but none, not one of them, would be happy getting their players in December vs November if they were being honest. Now, do I think they are fine with the kids choosing too, yes. I can’t see coaches literally telling kids they can’t do both. But I also feel if the talent pool is deep enough at said school those kids joining in December may never see the hardwood due to the late start. The team will move on. Just my opinion, but it’s just a chance a kid takes playing football. If your team makes a run to state, you’re giving another basketball players 4-5 weeks to take your spot……..

I think I more or less agree with this.

Is there going to be some part of a coach that thinks "I'd rather have my athletes full time" rather than splitting time with another coach from another sport? Sure there is. And I concur...coaches from big/successful programs are pretty for sure NOT gonna be telling their players, "You know, I think you should go play another sport that cuts into the time I have to train and coach you."

Caden Miller is 6'9" in Arkansas, currently, and has a slew of D1 offers.  He is LEGIT.

His dad, Caleb (as referenced above), is a great person and a man of deep faith, I'm sure the son can't be cut too far from the same cloth.

Would be the strongest of adds.

Caleb toured CCH and Moe with Caden. Caleb said they're touring Moe as a favor to Doug Rosfeld and a couple of other friends with Moeller ties. He's been seen around town in a CCH shirt and a CCH sweatshirt tho so if they're buying the gear, that tells me a thing or two.

Yesterday was Cov Cath's first day back to school after spring break.  Supposedly he was there in classes.   Thinking he's enrolled.

Beating out Moeller is a nice feather in the CCH cap. If it were my son, I would be headed to Moeller. Nothing against CCH but Moeller has a better track record of D1 basketball recruits.

I would attribute that to Moeller having legit D1 players.

I could be off on this, but I just heard from the best source that a NKY Big just transferred and enrolled at CCH….this would be in addition to Ruby’s Grandson…..anyone hearing anything on this.

And any word on the status for Athens for next season?…..is He staying or going?

I can't come up with a Big in NKY.  If reported by the best source, please tell.

A Big maybe overstating as He is more of a 3 guy, but has size and is from Beechwood.  Got it from someone involved with the team.  Was told He has already enrolled and is practicing.  Kind of stumbled onto the info….

This speculation started swirling a few days after the Harney speculation. Surprised it took this long to become public.  If you watched the district final he was probably the 2nd best player on the court that evening, at least in that game.  Big loss for the tigers new coach and hope the kid doesn’t get lost in the shuffle in Park Hills. Should be a nice addition for the Colonels.
