Anyone know what exactly happened at the end when they were shaking hands? It got pretty heated between both coaches and they had to be separated.

Well it was super chippy all game. Players were talking and playing rough. Referees did an awful job controlling the situation. It finally boiled over. Lloyd has an assistant who used to be with Newport. This coach refused to shake Coach Snaps hand, but Snap reached down and shook it anyway. Lloyd asst shoved him, and chaos ensued. I’m a big Lloyd guy, but the end really felt like sore loser behavior. Congratulations to Newport. Excellent team with a great opportunity ahead. 

Lloyd assistant gave a slight elbow to Snapp in the handshake line and it escalated from there. 

Then there were fights amongst fans in the concourses after the game.

Newport will meet the winner of the next game - Cooper vs. Cov Cath for the title.

Newport is definitely the most talented team in the tournament. That doesn't mean they win it. A lot of youth on the floor, but they are talented.

I agree but I have one thing to say, the Lloyd assistant that shoved the Newport coach should be fired immediately.

Officials have nothing to do with this! If grown men can’t act like grown men and control their players, that they are suppose to be leading by example,  that’s on them. What in the world would an official have to do with a Lloyd assistant AFTER the game shoving a head coach!?!? ?

Wow...didn't get to see or hear any of the game but this was the outcome I was rooting for.  Really hope Newport can shock the world and win the region.  They are a fun bunch to watch.  Their All "A" Regional final against Holy Cross has to be one of the top 3 games in the 9th region this season.  Gained a lot of respect for them.

They are going to be a FORCE the next two years...assuming all of those kids stay.

Been saying all year that if they stick together, they’ll win the Region sometime in the next 3 years. 

The chaos that occurred in the handshake line after the game was sunshine and rainbows compared to what ensued in the concourse after this game… total chaos, fist fights, cheap shots, punches thrown on innocent bystander, body slams, hair pulling, drinks flying, popcorn in the air.
 

Sad and pathetic. From the handshake line to the concourse. All over a game that no one will care about in a couple months. Grown ups need to GROW UP. 

Security has to be better. I watched 1 Newport fan who was sitting courtside run across the court as the teams were being broken up.
