Rose Hill 73 Lawrence County 39

Recommended Posts

Final Score.

Rugged game in the Stew.

The Hill is showing signs of maturity as a team, against a tough and determined Lawrence County team.

Michael Fuller came out hot as a firecracker hitting three out of four threes early in the game as the Bulldogs gave Dakotah Euton extra attention. Fuller finished with 20 points including 5 of 7 from three-point range.

Chad Jackson had 20 points on 9 of 10 shooting from the field.

LC gave Euton lots of extra attention, holding him to 10 in about 2 1/2 quarters of play.

Chase Jackson continued his progress with some excellent rebounding and three huge blocked shots.

Johnny Bush grabbed six steals and provided excellent defense.

8th grader Alex Malloy added 8 points.

Tim Fraley went to his bench early, about halfway into the third quarter, and cleared the bench in the fourth quarter.

Good to see a goodly number of our "neighbors" in the stands. It brings back some good memories of the past. Tim actually went to the bench a bit in the first quarter but made the wholesale changes about midway into the third quarter and the entire fourth quarter.

Great effort from Rose Hill's supporting cast. The Hill had 47 points at the half and Euton had 3.

The rest of the region has to be wondering just how good this team can be, when they are able to put up numbers like that...without Euton having to score.

I heard that there was a bench clearing brawl in this game and a player from Lawrence was kicked out of the game??

Anyone?

There was a brief altercation between two players and several players(more for RH) left bench area. Two assistant coaches also got into a verbal tussle!! Both players involved should have got the gate but the officials did not have the view of some. The altercation started away from the ball- underneath the basket.

So you were watching away from the ball?

No way you can say this with absolute authority. One kid started it, one kid simply avoided getting hurt. The officials reviewed game video immediately following the game and confirmed their decision on the court.

No one is pointing fingers. This was an intense game that almost got out of hand in one brief moment. It was handled immediately, authoritatively, and upon review... appropriately.

Please don't try to stir something up that did not occur. :thumb:
