Oscar, on the other hand, I haven't seen a mock draft with him in the first round. He is listed on most as in the first few picks of round 2. If he doesn't boost his stock in the pre-draft workouts, he might be back.

Old TyTy better toughen up. There are people in the league who will abuse him. I just am not as enamored of him as most UK folks seem to be. Will Frederick be basically a role player as a shooter? Does not seem to be extremely quick...very good fundamentally but may have trouble defensively against some SEC guys.

Frederick will be better than Grady. Which means he will get to play 36 minutes a night for Cal - no matter what is happening in the game.

1. If Cal didn't win with UK in 2012, he probably should have been fired. Four 1st rounders including #1 Davis and #2 Kidd-Gilchrist plus 2 second round picks. On the talent side, that is the most talented team I have seen. That said, UNC also had four 1st rounders on their roster in 2012 and they didn't win a title.
2. Bill Self has been at Kansas since 2003 and he has one title. Hmmmm ... If we talk about talent and titles and slam Cal for only having one, then I think Self needs to get slammed just as hard if not more so.
3. Adding to the above, Duke has one title since 2010 and two since 2001. Coach K, two titles in 20 years with all that talent. 

Bottom line on that, people who think UK should have 3, 4 even 5 titles under Cal just aren't being realistic. Even with a lot of talent, you need some luck here and there to win a title.

It is simple. Much like how Pitino and Tubby spoiled the fan base from 95 to 99. With people thinking that’s how it always should be. Cal also spoiled the fan base with the run from 2010 to 2015. Getting fans thinking again that is how it always should be. 
 

Neither the 95 to 99 run or 2010 to 2015 run was sustainable. The biggest difference was Pitino left while still on the mountain top, so people didn’t get to see it wasn’t realistic for him to keep that rate up either. Just like it wasn’t realistic for Cal to keep winning at the same rate he did from 2010 to 2015. 
 

The tournament is dang hard to win. Those incredible runs from 95 to 99 and 2010 to 2015 should be looked at as just incredible runs that us fans were lucky to experience. Shouldn’t be looked at like that’s how it always should be, because it’s not realistic.

I hope you are right about Fredrick. 

Seeing all the transfers on this season’s tournament teams, trying to predict anyone’s lineup is a crapshoot.

A few years ago I stopped caring about recruiting because the transfer portal is equally as important. Nobody has a clue what any of these rosters will look like before May.

If Sharpe stays, then Fredrick probably will end up a 10 to 15 minute guy at most who gets pulled quickly if his shot doesn’t go in right away or messes up on defense.

Who do you believe gets the minutes at guard?

Cal says that Sharpe is gonna test the waters and that he hopes he returns.

Wheeler, Wallace, Sharpe. I think those three will all start together. Or Wheeler, Sharpe, and Livingston. 
 

If Sharpe leaves, then I think it will be Wheeler, Wallace, and Livingston. So in both scenarios I don’t see Fredrick starting. 
 

I think Fredrick will obviously play, however I don’t see him getting huge minutes. Probably 10 to 15 minutes a game.

This is a different song and dance from a couple of weeks ago.

Well, he’s gonna pass the water test. NBA bound. 

When the Sharpe hoopla hit it's loudest voice this winter, UK hit it's peak and it made Cal scared to screw up the mojo of the team.  

Hindsight is always 20/20, but when UK didn't have anyone who could get a bucket on their own the last 3 weeks of the season, one wonders how much difference it would have been with Sharpe.  However, if you play Sharpe, Grady and Mintz become even more role players and their minutes would have been effected the most.
