You're entitled to your opinion, of course. 

I think Cal tried to play Hopkins earlier in the season quite a bit, to the point I kept texting my friends saying that I was over the Hopkins and Collins experiments for now.  Then he has the big game vs LSU and we never really saw him much again.

I just think he had more talented guys ahead of him at this point in his career.

I could see that being a thing at one time, but with transfer rules how they are now, I don't see that being a main motivator to recruit a kid.

If that was the case he wouldn’t have kept trying to play him and find a place for him in the rotation like he kept doing at the beginning of the year. 
 

Plus if Cal didn’t really like him, or think much of him as a player. Then he would have had no problem with Louisville having him. He obviously liked him enough with how he kept trying to play him. Until it came pretty obvious the team besides for one game didn’t do well when he was in.

Tshiebwe is back to at least being able to capitalize on merchandise sales with his likeness, which I would think is a good sign in regards to a potential return.

Kentucky is now expecting Sharpe to Stay in the NBA draft. I am not sure if I can pull for Sharpe like I can Enes Kanter because at least Enes tried to play. I don’t follow the nba much but I do at least follow how former UK players perform in the NBA.  This kid would have been better off to have went to the gleague if he wasn’t going to play at UK when he knew he was going to go top 10.  I agree with the many other people who think Cal dropped the ball.

Sharpe was never playing at UK... well, at least I have never expected him to.

I guess I don't get how averaging 6 points and 3 rebounds a game suggest that one is ready for the NBA.  He was playing behind Brooks, who himself is unlikely to ever play in the NBA.  I hope it all works out for him, but I just don't see how some of these kids aren't self aware enough to realize they're not ready for the NBA.  He's a freak athlete but that alone won't cut it at the next level.  It hasn't even been enough to secure a starting spot at his current level.

Plus he made NIL money.  I would be willing to bet the kids got 6 figures of NIL money plus daily access to some of the best facilities and training in the country instead of attending his senior prom.  Well played Mr. Sharpe.
