Hopefully they can find well rounded “basketball” players.

If Brooks plays in the NBA that should tell us something about the basketball in the league. 32 teams, two rounds. I think there are 64 better players in college basketball...and many better free agents.

Yeah I'm not seeing how Brooks doesn't return. Or if he does go the next stop is most assuredly not the NBA. The NBA is weird though. For instance, anyone remember Mychal Mulder? Dude played a few minutes here and there at UK. I honestly had forgotten about him. Then a couple years ago I'm watching the Golden State Warriors play and he is playing significant minutes.

Mychal Mulder was out of Canada if I'm not mistaking.

Wheeler and Oscar should both be back. Not sure who else comes back. 

Wheeler should be back and hopefully Oscar. I really hope Toppin doesn’t leave. I think it would be best for Brooks and UK if Brooks transferred. I feel like Toppin has so much upside, but he needs to truly get a chance to play 30 minutes a game. I could see him being one of the best players in the nation if he gets to play 30 or more minutes a game. 
 

Collins decision is probably determined by if Oscar is back. If Oscar is back he probably leaves. I think Hopkins and Allen both leave. Ware could go either way but I think he stays. The big decision besides Oscar is Sharpe.

Then with Fredricks, Ware, and the other incoming Freshman, and most likely a transfer or two.

Hopefully Brooks has taken plenty of foreign language classes in his time at UK. A foreign league is the only way he sniffs a pro contract. If Alex Poythress had his confidence, we’d be talking about a hall of fame level pro.

As good as Oscar is, his game doesn’t translate to the league. Tyler Hansbrough is the best comparison I can come up with. Hopefully he’s back.

I see zero reason Sharpe doesn’t go pro. He should if he’s projected in the lottery.

I suspect we have Fredrick, Oscar, Wheeler and Brooks return an build around that with the incoming freshmen.

Oscar is right on the cusp of the first round in the mock drafts. To play in the league he needs work on his floor game but it will be tough to do that. I will be interested to see what he does.

If I'm Oscar, I jump now.  You can't play much better than he did this season.

You have to be able to play in space in the NBA, especially on the defensive end. He would be guarding guys like Karl Anthony Towns who could drag him out and run a layup line by him. I’m not seeing it. Of course if I were an NBA scout I would have been fired years ago ?

As good as he is, a guy like Oscar just doesn’t have a place in the NBA.

I agree. That's what I meant when I said he needs to work on his floor game (= play in space). Work on making 3 pointers. Work on ball handling. If he leaves now with his skill set, his goal is to be Dennis Rodman.

I'm inclined to agree.  I don't see how a year more will better prepare him for the NBA.  Ultimately, I hope he does whatever in the world he wants to do.
