If he wasn't part of the search committee, then that will go down as one of the biggest mistakes in this whole process!

Do you have proof he was asked, I heard that no one reached out to him....he felt like the school wanted to move on without him.  First time anyone reached out to him was Summer of 2019 and that was the FTJFL to do a summer clinic on Monday nights.

Well Frank, welcome to BGP. 
 Sounds like you might know a couple things that you want to share, please feel free to spill enlighten us with some facts.

Is there any actual movement of finding a new coach? Things seem a bit stagnant since Coach James withdrew. Are they still accepting applicants? Has the committee met to review previous interviewees. From my understanding the AD is now conducting zoom meetings with the returning players.

The whole thing seems strange. You would've thought when James left, they would've called up the next in line and made the offer. Hoping this ends soon with a decent option remaining.

Maybe they're trying to patch the leak.

So maybe the AD is holding out with hope of taking over the reins?

The program under Mueller was a huge success.   Why wouldn't  he  have recommended the  number 2 guy to work to continue that success?  There is no crystal ball to predict the success of a person.  Also, there is no guarantee.  With that being said, we can only hope that the HHS  principal makes a fact based, logical, unbiased decision for the future of Bluebird Football!
