I worked in low income school districts nearly 40 years and do not believe there is a reason to consider family income when determining classification. Students must take advantage of the opportunities they have in the schools they attend. A student athlete's potential, determination and hard work all factor into success. Educators/coaches must teach kids that success is possible no matter where you grow up!

Danville fires Clay Clevenger

It's sad, but when the quest for power becomes the most important factor in the decision making process, many people are hurt. Good luck to Coach Clevenger! -

I get what you are saying, but if the principal and other administrators were part of the coach's firing, they could make his life pretty miserable. Just wondering if it would be worth it to Coach Clevenger to remain Danville's coach, or move on. -

After the seemingly unfair treatment this man has experienced, is there a chance that he would even consider returning to work for the same administration? -
Is Steve Lickert the Right Coach for Newport Central Catholic

It must make you feel good about yourself to sit behind a made up name and anonomously talk trash about a person! Sad! -
The program under Mueller was a huge success. Why wouldn't he have recommended the number 2 guy to work to continue that success? There is no crystal ball to predict the success of a person. Also, there is no guarantee. With that being said, we can only hope that the HHS principal makes a fact based, logical, unbiased decision for the future of Bluebird Football!

Will there be high school football this fall?
HHSX2 replied to Tkinslow's topic in KY Football (High School)
In regards to attendance, why not ask for a percentage of the amount of people the venue holds. Say 50% which would equal the number of people allowed in bars and restaurants. Then allow the players, coaches to purchase the tickets they need for their family members and the rest can be sold to students and fans in school and at the gates. First come first serve. In my opinion people outside of their own family units will be willing to social distance while watching the contest and most people interested would likely be able to attend. -
Here are the facts. Campbell has had 10 playoff wins since 1990. 6 were in this decade. 2010- they beat George Rogers Clark, 2011- they beat Tates Creek, 2012- they beat Dunbar, 2013- they beat Pleasure Ridge Park, 2016-they beat Madison Central and 2017- they beat Eastern.

Kelly went out of the game against Scott about halfway into the third quarter. The score was 21-0 at the time. -
It is a sad state of affairs. We are in the midst of a complete lack of respect for anyone in authority. Look at what is going on with our police officers. Even if you disagree with the way you are treated, violence is not the answer. Everyone involved in this should be punished and that includes charges against players and coaches. We cannot allow this sort of behavior to continue!

Many NKY teams are struggling this year, from the traditional powerhouses to the teams working to earn respect. It’s tough to stay positive when nothing seems to be going right. Just a few thoughts: • Your coaches aren’t happy about losing either. In fact, they are most likely working their butts off, spending an incredible number of hours watching film, planning, practicing and meeting to make changes to right the ship. • As a parent or supporter of a player, the best thing you can do to help is to remind your child to give 110% in practice and games. Encourage them to work to get better to be able to help the team, being at practice on time, knowing the plays, learning techniques, staying eligible and supporting their teammates. Criticism of other players and coaches only undermines the morale and goals of the team. • The posts on this website under the cover of user names allow those with agendas to make negative and sometimes downright nasty comments about teams and coaches they don’t like. But it’s like a train wreck, you just have to look. So, if you’re a player, parent, or fan, and you must read, then use the negativity as motivation to help make your situation better in a positive way. “You're either part of the solution or you're part of the problem.” Eldridge Cleaver

It seems like everytime I read a post from you, it is trashing someone. I don't know what your problem is, but you need to get over it!

Questionable Usage of School-Owned Student Notification System
HHSX2 replied to FTBIGBIRD's topic in BGP Break Room
My understanding is this group has zero affiliation with Campbell County Schools, Campbell County football or the Campbell County Youth Football League that feeds Campbell County High School. This is apparently a group of disgruntled former Red Devil parents that are recruiting kids from the FTJFL, CCYFL, Newport, Bellevue, Dayton and even Kenton County NKYFL kids to form teams that will play in the Boone County League. The contact on the email is a NewCath graduate that was a Red Devil coach last year. -
Great choice! Ben will be a great asset to the program! Congratulations and best of luck Ben!!

Heard after the game that it has been 31 years since a district title!

Right on! Coach Lickert has a fine group of young men on his team and an excellent, caring staff. He has high expectations for this program and is commited to taking it to the next level. He is well aware that doesn't happen overnight.
