Couple tee boxes were pretty bad as well. Talked to one of the rangers. He was thinking about leaving since the course was so bad it was not worth playing. He said a bunch already have left.

I shot a 91 at Lost Key (nicknamed Lost Ball) in Perdido Key, Fl. today. I lost 6 balls so it may be correct. I really didn't play to badly, I chipped and putted better than normal, only one three putt. My drives were all over the place, thus the lost balls.

This course is tight but in great shape. I am playing there again tomorrow, I want to conquer this sucker. Knowing me, though, I'll drive it great and putt like a dog. It was outstanding weather.

I played a combo of white and gold to try and play around 5800 yards. White is 6000 and gold is 5100. Played mostly white and about three golds.

I'm worried about the average golf course.

I hit a bucket of balls at my range last night...not too bad.

Fairways are starting to green up nicely now at my home course (Bermuda). Barring a mid-spring cold snap, they should be full here in a couple of weeks.

Played Lost Key in Period Beach, Fl again this morning and shot a 92. I actually played really well........except for three holes, all triples. The final one on 18, par 5, when I got a huge break when my drive was so far right it went across the water that was parallel to the fairway and was playable. Hit the next one in the woods and dropped and shanked one. Made a great long putt for an 8.

I love golf!!!!

Played just my second round of the year last Saturday. Brutal outing, despite playing a course I really like, Midland Trail out near Eastwood.

Weekly league starts up Tuesday after Derby and I'm not looking too hot right now.

Midland Trail is always a good experience for me. I don't always play well, but it's a neat place.

The course just north of there was already booked up?

Yeah they didn't need anymore caddies for the afternoon tee times, so I was let go.

Playing in my first tournament of the year Sunday at Kearney Hill. Played out there this week for a practice round and shot 73 with a double and a triple. So hopefully I can limit the big numbers on Sunday and I should be looking pretty good. Looks like rain in the forecast though so that course could be brutal in rain and wind. Hopefully it's hold off.

Shot a 78 today at my local course, Sag Hollow. I'll take a +6 at this early date in the season. I still play the 6100 yard tees, although my age would allow me to play the senior tees. But as long as I can continue to score and compete from that distance I will tee it up there.

First round of the year is in the books.

Toughed it out yesterday at Greenbrier. It never rained on us, but it was cold and pretty breezy.

I shot 81, which I was totally okay with. I played pretty well with the exception of a triple and 2 doubles.

Love that golf course. If you ever have a chance to play it, you should.

One of those caddies lives in my house. Made $80 yesterday from 2 guys who called it quits after 9. Not a bad day

Turns out the Mizuno club rep who does the college accounts got fired and they were in the process of replacing him so my order never went through, wish I had known that 4 weeks ago. So I guess my irons should be here within a week.
