For the first time since 2006, new irons are going in the bag. Next round is April 1st....better find a range before then once my sticks arrive next week.

What kind of irons did you buy?

82 at Charlie Vettiner today. 45 front 37 back. Two triple bogeys on the first nine. 3 birdies on the back. Course is a good test!

Mizuno JPX 900, 6-Gap, plus a 54-08 S5 sand wedge in blue ion.

Nice set! This is my third season with the JPX Ez forged. Mizuno makes great irons.

Left work early and just walked 5 holes at my home course. First time out since early October. Nothing to brag about but not horrible either.

Don't live in that area so couldn't have told you it was closed. However, count your lucky stars it was closed and you weren't subjected to that monstrosity of a course.

It's not that bad. :lol2: I never play there, it's just not a good layout. The actual course isn't in terrible condition typically.

Oh, the fairways could be seeded with naked clones of Scarlett Johansson and that place wouldn't be worth the trip.

My first official rounds of the year are this upcoming long weekend in Vegas. Four rounds in four days...cannot wait! I have probably played 8-10 rounds this year but all were off season for handicap posting...playing TPC Las Vegas, Chimera, Boulder Creek GC, and Revere Concord. If any of you have played them, give me some scoop. They look good on the web sites. I know TPC Las Vegas is really good. The rest are more middle of the road from what I have heard...and that would be fine with me...

76 at Maywood in Bardstown on Monday. 41-36. Course is in rough shape.

All three of you failed to mention a closed course, (thanks a lot @nWo ) which worked out ok as there were only a handful of people braving the cold at Eagle Creek.

That is until we made the turn and found three groups had magically wound up in front of us. Finished an impressive, for me, 10 beers under on the back.

I was probably in one of those 3 groups, my bad...

'06? You have a lot more will power than me. Haha I've replaced my entire bag twice in the past 24 months. Hope you enjoy the new sticks!

I sucked on Heron Point today. Not going to tell you my score.

Golf is fun, isn't it?
