Southern Sports on Old Shepherdsville road is open year round. Nothing fancy, typical range. They have a small green that rolls at at a 2 on the stimp, little hairy! I do most of my practice at Heritage Hill.

Looking to get a new set of irons maybe next year, what is it about Mizuno that you liked.

They were about a club longer than my Titleist 716 AP2s, plus I personally don't think there's a better feeling iron than Mizunos. It's a personal preference honestly, I made the mistake of trading my 714 AP2s for the 716s (newer model) right before I began school this past fall and there was a big difference for me. I think the 716s are less forgiving and have a little bit of a smaller head.

As far as the Mizunos go I got the JPX 900 Forged instead of the 900 Tours because I wanted a little more forgiveness on miss hits, but they also make a even more forgiving iron in the 900 Hot Metal but they had too much offset for me.

I would recommend getting fitted instead of biting the bullet like I did last fall, I regret it dearly.

Ordered my Mizuno irons 3 weeks ago today...... They still haven't came in.

That's strange. Mizuno usually has a 2 week turnaround max. What did you order?

I haven't played yet this year, but hoping to hit the range some time in the next couple weeks.

@Mike Baxter who did you order your mizuno's from?

Ordered them through my golf coach (being D1 get get clubs at cost which is why I got them through him), usually takes 8-10 business days for him to get stuff when we order, but for some reason it's been 3 weeks and I still haven't gotten them. I'm about to just say the heck with it and cancel my order.

Weather permitting I'll be getting my first round in Sunday. Playing at Greenbrier CC in Lexington. Hoping to break 85.

Last time I played there I was in July. Mid-season form.
