Steelers 18 Bengals 16

I guess the only questions now?

Who will be our coordinators next season?

I'm sure Hue is gone and Guenther might be gone...

I'm also sure that Lewis will be HC and Dalton will be the QB...

I'm gonna bet with 90% certainty that Burfict is back as well... Sorry Burfict haters.

Well I will start off by saying congrats to the Steelers fans on here.

With that said I am still in shock right now. It is just unbelievable the situation played out for the perfect ending to ending the playoff drought. Each playoffs we have heard first about the qb play being bad, defense not forcing turnovers, and offensive line not playing well.

Well after that hit Gio took it woke this team up. In the 4th quarter we had the dednese getting stops and creating turnovers. On offense the line finally started to hold blocks and then we had a qb who made the throws in the 4th quarter that had to be made. Not to mention our star receiver making big plays in a big game for first time. I mean everything we been wanting happened. Then just like that the fumble and two dumb penalties and its over. It is unbelievable.

Despite my comments in the other thread, I am not a Burfict hater. He is a great player. But he makes so many mistakes you have to decide whether the great plays are worth it. It is like Hill fumbling. He made some awesome runs tonight, but a RB can be tremendous running the ball and you still have to let him go if he can't hold onto the ball. It would not surprise me at all to see Hill's reps get cut or the Bengals looking for a replacement. Same for Burfict. If Burfict can't control himself and is going to continue to "fumble", then what can you do? If you have a corner who leads the league in INT's and also leads in TD's given up, what do you do?

Ironic...your avatar fought against the 4 Horsemen and their use of the dark arts every Saturday evening. Putting Joey Porter in as assistant medic to check on a wide receiver is an example...seeing as Porter is an LB coach/Vegas Bengal fighter. Or...the time he two stepped on the field to distract a punt returner...or...Kimo hitting Carson....or.... They have 5 titles, but they love to bend rules. I give respect and disdain equally

6. They have 6 titles.

I guarantee you that if the hit on Gio was from Burfict, it would've been a penalty... I'd bet serious money on that and I never bet on anything.

The good news this isn't the end of the Bengals. They have what most teams in the NFL don't have, an above average QB. He's not a top 5 guy but definitely in the top 10. The NFL is about who has a QB that can put you into position to win games, and 14 is that.

It stinks he couldn't play tonight cause this season would be totally different. Heck the Bengals wouldn't even be playing tonight. The season was over as soon as he got hurt. AJ did fine but Daton was the whole offense.

The good news is there will still be numerous opportunities for this franchise to get over the hurdle. This really was the first year where the young guys are hitting their prime. This team will still be good for the foreseeable future.

Awful. Just awful. First things first. Marvin has got to go. He has shown a complete lack of capability to win when it matters most. We need to keep Hue Jackson and the only way we can do that is to make him the head coach. Second. I know PacMan and Burfict are dirty players, but they are the 2 most important players on the defensive side of the ball. Are corners are awful besides PacMan and our linebackers are probably the worst in the NFL without Burfict. They are totally worth the risk reward associated with them. Without them we wouldn't even have been playing tonight, or it at least would have been at Heinz Field instead of PBS. But lastly, the refs just completely let this game get out of control. All the personal fouls. They call ones they shouldn't like the one on the Bengals in the first half where the safety hits the guy in the chest with his shoulder. Then the one that should have been called on Pittsburgh when Shazier hit Gio. Honestly that is what lost the game. If Gio doesn't get hurt, he is in there instead of Hill because of Hills fumble tendencies. Also Bryant did not catch that ball. If you think he did then you are just lying to yourself. Then what the hell is Joey Porter doing out on the field at towards the end of the game. I'm sorry but PacMan is right there is no reason for that and he was only out there to talk crap. Overall just completely dissapointing. I still don't believe they lost.

I honestly feel bad for Roethesburger. He gets alot of hate and the accusations are very rumored. As much as I hate the Steelers, I feel bad when a person gets that type of treatment, especially after getting injured. He also takes it very well. His team may be classless like the Bengals today, but he seems to have maturity most of the time.

My take as a baffled as to why, but still a Bengal fan.

You get a pick and the game is over. Just take snaps kneel, don't even risk anything else. You'll leave a few extra seconds on the clock, but kneel and kick the FG that will force a touchdown to beat you with the offense having no timeouts. Getting into the endzone in this scenario is rare air. Odds are greatly in your favor with no risk of a turnover. That's on clock management Marvin. Fans would have perhaps booed as you won, but you win the game.

You then put it on the Steelers to win with a touchdown led by a downfield passing game led by either a guy who just threw a pick because he was outsmarted by a moron or by a guy that was just getting X-Ray's on his throwing shoulder. I'll roll the dice on this one.

After 55's int. though, no way he or anyone who ran into the locker room with him are back on the field. That's a culture and a me problem. And the only way I lose is by putting them back on the field to repeat stupidity. Marvin did, and they did.

Easily the biggest self-destruction of a team in a playoff game that I've ever seen in the NFL. It didn't take one, two, three, but perhaps up to four separate decisions to lead to this Epic fail. Remove any one of the four and the Bengals almost assuredly win.

Any chance to blame the officials for this loss were nullified by the broadcast ref who knew all rules (including the hit on Barnard), and were upheld by replay.

McCarron hasn't sold me yet. His post game presser didn't seem to invoke much confidence in me. Not me he has to sell, but he's not ready for the physical beating of a starting NFL qb, and he sure went out of his way to not make anyone angry.

If I was Bengals management I would PAY some other team(s) a hefty sum to take 'Out Of Control and No Discipline' Burfict and Jones off my hands (if they would be willing to take them) and follow that by firing 'No Control Of Team' Marv Lewis.

Punks will always be punks.

Disagree. I used to be a punk. Not any longer.

Well dang, the sun Didn't come up today.

McCarron's press conference was perfect for a leader. I ride with him.

Except for whining that it was always raining when Cincy had the ball and let up when the Steelers had it. I thought that was lame.

Matter of degree.
